Any other manager would be twenty points ahead.

lol

The Fields o' Fat Henry (Tom D.), Sunday, 12 July 2020 18:37 (five years ago)

Not sure Bournemouth will score again this season.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 12 July 2020 19:19 (five years ago)

lol, if they were going to get a goal it would be like this.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 12 July 2020 19:25 (five years ago)

Amazing.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 12 July 2020 19:29 (five years ago)

Solanke as well, never thought I’d see the day.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 12 July 2020 19:30 (five years ago)

SV ruining a perfect day with some top-class jinx savagery

imago, Sunday, 12 July 2020 19:30 (five years ago)

ruining? i mean enhancing

imago, Sunday, 12 July 2020 19:30 (five years ago)

I was gonna say

Mein Skampf (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 12 July 2020 19:40 (five years ago)

You’re welcome but I think the credit should go to whichever betting cartel has nobbled the Leicester defence.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Sunday, 12 July 2020 19:45 (five years ago)

lol, Solanke trebles his career total.

Manchester City ban has been lifted by the CAS #MCFC City back in Europe

It was nice they kept everyone in suspense for a while, but really, who did not see that coming? They're too big/rich to be excluded.

Scampidocio (Le Bateau Ivre), Monday, 13 July 2020 08:38 (five years ago)

The only way this hollow sham of a season can possibly end now is with United taking fourth spot on the last day of the season.

Matt DC, Monday, 13 July 2020 08:40 (five years ago)

I'll be disappointed if we don't finish third now

Number None, Monday, 13 July 2020 08:41 (five years ago)

save a european campaign (ride a uefa)

imago, Monday, 13 July 2020 08:42 (five years ago)

CAS say that the accusations of fiddling sponsorship were “either not established or time barred.” Time barred, in this case, means that they happened more than five years ago and couldn’t be investigated/punished again

jfc

Scampidocio (Le Bateau Ivre), Monday, 13 July 2020 08:45 (five years ago)

Fucking hell. Poor Serge.

lilcraigyboi (Craigo Boingo), Monday, 13 July 2020 09:43 (five years ago)

that's awful

i don't hate Man City with the passion some of you fans of the more, um, invested clubs do but this decision is corrupt as fuck bullshit. on the other hand Wolves still have a clear run at the Champions League, just gotta win the Europa this season :D

Mein Skampf (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 July 2020 11:09 (five years ago)

could see both chelsea and leicester losing a couple of their remaining fixtures (chelsea have got norwich , liverpool, wolves; leicester have sheffield utd, spurs, man u). definitely not out of the question that wolves will overtake them in the league

Boris the Spreader (NickB), Monday, 13 July 2020 11:24 (five years ago)

it's not impossible but the nul points against Arsenal and Sheff U effectively fucked us i think. could make for an epic last day tho, touch wood.

still very hard to read how well teams are or aren't playing during these lockdown games, with the possible exception of Man U who really seem in the process of cohering. ime half the time i can't tell if we've played well or the opposition have just been terrible, Everton yesterday was a good example

Mein Skampf (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 July 2020 11:29 (five years ago)

Leicester have been bullshit since the restart, they've dropped something like 12 points in that time. There's no way that United don't overtake them.

Matt DC, Monday, 13 July 2020 11:49 (five years ago)

Got to say I'm amazed that they're still playing matches at the King Power Stadium as well.

Matt DC, Monday, 13 July 2020 11:50 (five years ago)

we overtake Chelsea with a win tonight

Number None, Monday, 13 July 2020 11:52 (five years ago)

United should finish 3rd I think, permutations get intersting for 4th to 7th, with Chelsea, Leicester, Wolves and Sheff U all possible for any of those slots iirc

Mein Skampf (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 July 2020 11:54 (five years ago)

i still make Chelsea favourites for 4th, just about

Mein Skampf (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 July 2020 11:55 (five years ago)

I was stupidly hoping that the ban would be upheld, would have softened the blow of Leicester's disintegration yesterday. A little. That's what I get for hoping for anything... On that note, I'm rooting for the Saints to batter Man U in a similar manner to Blades/Chelsea lol

ultros ultros-ghali, Monday, 13 July 2020 12:51 (five years ago)

you've been a football fan this entire time and not posted wtf :D

imago, Monday, 13 July 2020 12:54 (five years ago)

Poor old Brendan Rodgers doesn't know what to tend to first - his bruised ego or his itchy feet.

The Fields o' Fat Henry (Tom D.), Monday, 13 July 2020 13:05 (five years ago)

xp I did take a break from ilx that ended up lasting about a year, still lurk more than anything.

I don't feel the sense of entitlement that other teams do, if we continue to flap it I still think a Europa league place would be punching above our weight. Though on current form that looks pretty doubtful obvs!

ultros ultros-ghali, Monday, 13 July 2020 14:31 (five years ago)

On that note, I'm rooting for the Saints to batter Man U in a similar manner to Blades/Chelsea lol

Off to a good start!

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Monday, 13 July 2020 19:16 (five years ago)

looking terrified of the Soton press here

Number None, Monday, 13 July 2020 19:17 (five years ago)

Pogbas having a mare

Boris the Spreader (NickB), Monday, 13 July 2020 19:20 (five years ago)

Timing

Boris the Spreader (NickB), Monday, 13 July 2020 19:22 (five years ago)

Martial is too good. Wonderful goal.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Monday, 13 July 2020 19:25 (five years ago)

Think we successfully put the curse on Southampton there, good work nn!

Boris the Spreader (NickB), Monday, 13 July 2020 19:25 (five years ago)

Martial really is turning into a brilliant #9

Number None, Monday, 13 July 2020 19:26 (five years ago)

Fair play to Southampton for plugging away but strangely unhurried even now

ultros ultros-ghali, Monday, 13 July 2020 20:55 (five years ago)

omg

Mein Skampf (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 July 2020 20:56 (five years ago)

ultros ultros-ghali, Monday, 13 July 2020 20:56 (five years ago)

Mein Skampf (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 July 2020 20:56 (five years ago)

ah shitebags

Boris the Spreader (NickB), Monday, 13 July 2020 20:57 (five years ago)

Fucking hell even in lockdown we get Fergie time

Mein Skampf (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 July 2020 20:58 (five years ago)

paying for a needlessly conservative second half performance

Number None, Monday, 13 July 2020 20:58 (five years ago)

Not sure why Ole took Bruno off tbh. Williams and Shaw maybe out for the next game - are our fortunes going to be in the hands of marcos rojo?

Boris the Spreader (NickB), Monday, 13 July 2020 21:08 (five years ago)

he'll have a job on getting over from Argentina right now

Number None, Monday, 13 July 2020 21:13 (five years ago)

Ah, didn't realise he was abusing toasters over there atm

Boris the Spreader (NickB), Monday, 13 July 2020 21:25 (five years ago)
