Early in lockdown I decided to run down the £20 or so in my online account by betting on whatever was available in play - I migrated from table tennis to esports (FIFA, CS:GO) and finally a chess tournament that was abandoned midway. We'd noticed one day that 70% of the ads we saw in live TV were bookies saying "careful now with the gambling! Call this number or go to this website if you have a problem!" - we were wondering if legislation was coming in, or if someone had had a quiet word to say "We've noticed you've got a new audience, a bit of care here could stop the boot coming down".
