D- If you take women's shirts to get laundered they will cost around $5 each because of the cut. But 20/20 or someone did a thing where took a men's cut shirt into a laundry, once a woman dropped it off and the other time a man dropped it off. The man was charged the usual $.99 and the woman was charged for a woman's shirt ($6 or something) despite the fact that it was the very same men's shirt.

Well, ok. Except I do have some shirts that I've been throwing the washer that I shouldn't have been. And I like light starch.

Walking to the store a minute ago, and there was a broken Hitachi Magic Wand lying alone on the sidewalk. I think I should make up a story about how it got there.

I always get heavy starch, but I think it's not the greatest thing for everyday shirts. But for work shirts is great because I can get like 4 wears out of them and even then, it's the smell that makes me retire them, not any lack of crispness.
I don't understand....what does what you've been doing with your shirts have to do with how you get them done at the cleaners? Dry cleaning is not going to go any easier on them.

I guess I would need to know what kind of shirt we're talking about.
Cotton or poly-cotton shirts are just fine for the washing. The nice Asians will tell you if you need dry cleaning.
I hate my local dry-cleaners/shirt laundry in the summer. It is a nice brand new modern place (right next to Spin Cycle on Broadway where Jenny did laundry) but they have no A/C so the temp is easily 115 to 120 in there on a hot day. (Imagine all the washing, drying, and pressing--all that steam.) Gross.

Sometimes the poly blends say "dry clean only," too. And I have some vintage shirts that I love and I want to be extra careful with.

My computer is many years old. My computer is an IBM 300PL. I bought my computer from uBid in 2000. When I bought it, it was an off-lease office unit. I like it and I have done many nice things for it. New hard drive (160 gig), DVD player, Windows upgrade, memory upgrade. But I know that the time is coming when it's going to need some professional attention. Little things happen that make me aware of its mortality and of the laws of entropy.
So I wonder. Should I just get a laptop and make this an auxillary computer? It's too good to throw away, by far, but it is not quite saleable either. And I am nervous about having JUST a laptop for some reason.

If I had it to do all over again, I would still have gotten a laptop for school. But if I wasn't in school, I would just have a desktop. That is just my experience, however, and your needs may be different.

My big beef w/ my current system is it's HUGE. The CPU is horizontal and takes up most of my desk and the monitor is bulky as fuck.
If I got a laptop I would prob. get a docking station and a keyboard. Docks aren't expensive are they? I would think that they would take up farrrr less room than my current desktop.
I guess I'll just pray and meditate on this and let Jesus and the Universe and dolphins auras guide my actions.

WHPK was lots of fun, even more fun than last year because we knew what to expect. Sadly, all my vocals were really quiet in the mix, but we played well and the music and Nick's vox sounded great.
Then Nick and I watched Shopgirl. I enjoyed it.
Today has been really fun. For one thing, we finally got to Andy's to find it open. It was specfuckingtacular. I wanted one of everything in the store, but especially the steel drums, but ESPECIALLY the big wooden bells... If I had $500 to pick someting out there, I think my brain might explode from trying to decide.

anxiety dreams ahoy!
Haha, yeah. We dated a while ago, too. I'd like to think I'm okay about her seeing other people, but my roommate would just be too much. Actually, I think it has to do with an occasional fascination I have with creating the most morbid imaginary situations possible just to create anxiety within myself. "I've got nothing to worry about, so I worry about nothing," etc.

XPOST: OH WOW! As I wrote that there was a sudden flurry of activity!
