Downing my melatonin with a Shiner. Lights off, Kings of Convenience playing, hoping to drift off shortly so the morning and the attendant girlfriend hurry along.

Smoking hooka with friends. Watched Foreign Correspondence and now we're watching South Park. Good times.

Old episodes of Top of the Pops, lots of iced coffee. Currently chatting to Roxy and making plans for ILX domination. Mwahahahaha.

two weeks pass...

I'm housesitting for a relative and I have been cold lampin at the crib. Have taken advantage of rad running trails nearby every day and done some experimenting in the kitchen but other than that, being lazy by myself. Rolling up a j with a peach flavored wrap and watching comedy central.

Watched Twin Peaks. My (non-)boring every night.

krakow, Sunday, 23 August 2009 09:45 (fourteen years ago) link

At home watching X-Files instead of going out on the ultimate pusskill at one of the, literally, dozen bars within three blocks of my new apt. Also, apt is empty save myself and I feel I am wasting an opportunity for dastardly behavior.

Went for a disco nap in preparation for a party I've been looking forward to for SIX WEEKS and slept through until 12.30 am. IDIOT.

lacoste intolerant (suzy), Sunday, 6 September 2009 03:20 (fourteen years ago) link

brown sugar is great and not on foodler. the new crack up here is s&i to go which is unbelievable and also not on foodler. so i got dok bua cause these are the lengths i will go to not to use the phone.

watching og pelham just led to me ruminating about how much recent movies suck. nu pelham is not even bed but terrible by comparison.

I'm listening to Frank Zappa's Freak Out!, watching Malcolm X on PBS, sweating, eating Cool Ranch doritos, feeling a little depressed, thinking about reviving the thread where a sad lonely guy is just sitting around thinking about things, working on my eleventeenth beer, thinking about doing some late night vaccuuming.

switching between lost on hulu and ilx; went out for vegan soul food (pretty bad) and to middle harbour to see the bay bridge construction (pretty awesome); husband watching football on both the tv AND his laptop next to me; feeling a bit fragile since i seem to have some kind of flu-like virus.

my parents are visiting, so i hung out with them and handled night-time duty with the kids while my wife went out with her best friend. (we sort of alternate saturday nights out.) now everybody's asleep but me, so i'm listening to nina nastasia and dicking around on the internet and thinking about watching a movie.

CAD - yes it was awesome! You're not going to see the YYYs at the Orpheum at the end of the month by any chance, are you?

call all destroyer, Sunday, 6 September 2009 04:01 (fourteen years ago) link

I know it's an outrage! I've seen them twice (once for free outdoors with TV on the Radio at gov't ctr!) and have to say that they're AMAZING live. I was reluctant to spend that much but honestly, for me at least, I'm pretty sure it'll be worth it.

xpost ZS, is the EPA a significant factor in your current depressive vacuuming mood?

Catching up on work reading, thinking about return to the US on Monday of co-worker who lost her partner in an accident in July (we're Britishes but work in DC), feeling inadequate about working out the right things to do especially when it comes to her return to work. Planning to get out and hike with a bunch of strangers tomorrow morning.

ljubljana, Sunday, 6 September 2009 04:08 (fourteen years ago) link

Shit. Only decent hiking pants have hole in them. Is it really stupid to go anyway and boil in jeans? (Maryland). Site says hike is 'moderate' with 'tree cover' but 'initial elevation'.

ljubljana, Sunday, 6 September 2009 04:09 (fourteen years ago) link

i would die in jeans, but i get hot fast.

velko, Sunday, 6 September 2009 04:15 (fourteen years ago) link

lol sorry.

ljubljana, I don't know what the hell is wrong with me lately. My girlfriend is gone all week because of a death in the family, so that's probably contributing to things.

OLIGARHY (Z S), Sunday, 6 September 2009 04:15 (fourteen years ago) link

what are hiking pants?

call all destroyer, Sunday, 6 September 2009 04:15 (fourteen years ago) link
