Did you get some kind of notification? I didn't.
― Spocks on the Run (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 21 May 2020 13:32 (four years ago) link
I got an email, stating:
«Our LIBRARY is now open.Today, we open our LIBRARY. A huge, brand new section of MUBI. Full of hundreds of incredible films.
Films you missed the first time we picked them. Films you can discover all over again. Films you never even knew existed.
From MUBI specials and retrospectives, to our double-bills and other exclusives. All hand-picked by us. As always.
LIBRARY is included with a MUBI membership. You can explore right now, on our website. And very soon on our Apple and Android apps.»
― Mule, Thursday, 21 May 2020 13:42 (four years ago) link
Hm. The last email I got from MUBI was about The Last Laugh.
― Spocks on the Run (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 21 May 2020 13:55 (four years ago) link
I’m in Europe btw
― Mule, Thursday, 21 May 2020 14:03 (four years ago) link
Right, was wondering about that. Still, I can see some kind of library on my desktop.
― Spocks on the Run (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 21 May 2020 14:09 (four years ago) link
xpostThink USA MUBI differs quite a bit from EURO MUBI
Glad to have a chance to catch-up with some things I missed - some of the Diaz, Portrait of a Lady on Fire, High Life, Bacurau, Jonas Mekas, The Wonders etc
If people haven't seen Serra's Story of My Death, that gets my highest recommendation fwiw
― Ward Fowler, Thursday, 21 May 2020 14:16 (four years ago) link
yeah this library helps a lot. Ryuichi Sakamoto's Coda is one of the best things I saw last year.

― Spocks on the Run (James Redd and the Blecchs), Thursday, 21 May 2020 16:29 (four years ago) link
When this comes to the app I will be all over it
― What fash heil is this? (wins), Thursday, 21 May 2020 17:45 (four years ago) link
I did notice that they are charging an additional £2.49 per film for some of the titles in the library - and they have nothing from the Straub-Huillet season (although that appears to have restarted - their Antigone is currently up)
― Ward Fowler, Thursday, 21 May 2020 17:52 (four years ago) link
And the announcement is showing up on social media now, ICYMI.

Hi. Not coming back, just a quick question for work: I can see the Danish film Giraffe is on Mubi in the UK, but I can't figure out if it's on in the US as well. Anyone who can check for me? Also, do watch Giraffe, it was my favorite Danish film of 2019
― Frederik B, Sunday, 9 August 2020 09:03 (four years ago) link

I can only see the Now Showing selection on my screen. No different sections, no full library. But I see that some people have suggested re-installing the app, so I'll try that.
― trishyb, Thursday, 13 August 2020 13:54 (four years ago) link
Yeah, I only have the 30 time-limited ones on my app, too (LG smart TV)--not yet got the library included.
― Tsar Bombadil (James Morrison), Friday, 14 August 2020 02:54 (four years ago) link
We reinstalled the app and now we have everything. So many films I will continue to intend to watch but never actually watch.
― trishyb, Friday, 14 August 2020 07:42 (four years ago) link
Oh really I am going to try this.
Do they have Antonio Das Mortes available on it btw?

"This film is not currently playing on MUBI but 30 other great films are. See what’s NOW SHOWING"
― Tim, Friday, 14 August 2020 08:32 (four years ago) link
I was thinking it might be on this library thing. I watch 7-10 every 30 days.
― xyzzzz__, Friday, 14 August 2020 08:35 (four years ago) link
Not as far as I can tell. I don't really understand the platform or the interface TBH.
― Tim, Friday, 14 August 2020 08:46 (four years ago) link
I understand the platform just not how you access the library.
― xyzzzz__, Friday, 14 August 2020 09:01 (four years ago) link
In our case, on the Apple TV, we access the library through the pull-down menu at the top of the screen. Where you'd normally find info and subtitles and stuff.
― trishyb, Friday, 14 August 2020 09:21 (four years ago) link
do you get the full mubi offering (including library) via amazon prime video?
