best chips in the world, with the possible exception of the Netherlands

Neil S, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 16:53 (six years ago)

Here's more songs about chocolate and beer.

Christ I hate this guy so fucking much

That praise from Tom Watson has gone to his head.

Angry Question Time Man's Flute Club Band (Tom D.), Tuesday, 5 May 2020 16:54 (six years ago)

That Allin-Khan video has been shared all over the place today, just terrible judgement from Hancock.

The BBC is now going with 'Highest Death Toll In Europe' as its main story.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 16:55 (six years ago)

Seriously though, I do think Hancock's ego has been puffed up by getting smoke blown up his arse over his incredible unprecedented success with testing.

Angry Question Time Man's Flute Club Band (Tom D.), Tuesday, 5 May 2020 16:57 (six years ago)

and his brilliant Rona app that he says is everyone's duty to download ... yeah I'd rather actually install a disease

calzino, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 17:01 (six years ago)

You wouldn’t download a disease would you?

gyac, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 17:12 (six years ago)

I haven’t been following; why is this app so much worse than eg Facebook or GMaps?

stet, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 17:17 (six years ago)

The only people who'll download it will be Tories! Might give skewed data on the viral spread. Fuck that anyway, I'd be as likely to download an app from HMRC tbh.

the fucking cunts treat us like Styx (Matt #2), Tuesday, 5 May 2020 17:39 (six years ago)

"You wouldn’t download a disease would you?"

I've been trying force my pc to develop immunity to Putin bitcoin mining trojans by downloading movies from dodgy disreputable torrent sites for years now .. so sort of!

calzino, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 17:57 (six years ago)

belgian chips are mad overrated

The Cognitive Peasant (ogmor), Tuesday, 5 May 2020 18:14 (six years ago)

They certainly don't look anything special.

When a creep like MH says it is one's duty to dl this Rona app an internal switch clicks in me where I've just switched that app off forever.

calzino, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 18:19 (six years ago)

if Hat Mancock told you not to jump off a cliff would you do it?

Wait I just remembered there's a literal Frites Museum in Bruges.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 19:23 (six years ago)

Among Mair's other nazi possessions was a dvd of that HBO movie about the Wannssee conference with Branagh playing Heydrich and him from shameless playing some nazi fucker I cant recall! His Britain First brainworms version of Batman Begins or something perhaps.

from the ferguson article:

She and her husband live together with their two children in a £1.9 million home, but are understood to be in an open marriage. She has told friends about her relationship with Prof Ferguson, but does not believe their actions to be hypocritical because she considers the households to be one.

Worst thread on ilx for a reason pal.

Wow. @RussInCheshire: "Until midnight tonight, we are still inside the 5 year term of David Cameron's last election win."

A lot has happened...

Never changed username before (cardamon), Tuesday, 5 May 2020 20:23 (six years ago)

I’m boggling at that dawn foster tweet xyz posted - I know these fuckers were elected on a “drive us off a cliff and do disaster capitalism” ticket and I was never as hypnotised by sunak’s ~unprecedented package~ as some but turning their usual murderous punitive bullshit on their own job retention scheme seems unwise?

They are fucking this up so badly. As tracer says we haven’t even really locked down, and shit like “isolate for 7 days” does feel like the let’s spread it and be legends strategy by stealth. Meanwhile this is tearing through poor and nonwhite communities and frontline workers still don’t have adequate protection so the endless theoretical debate from amateur virologists/economists/behavioural scientists feels very bleak to me. Public mourning can be grotesque obv but I’m looking around and it really feels like 50,000 people just died and nobody gives a shit.

Angry Question Time Man's Flute Club Band (Tom D.), Tuesday, 5 May 2020 21:01 (six years ago)

I think when the figures are that big and people are dying that rapidly, all that "you can't accuse them of social murder" stuff should go out the fucking door. Just because the media wont hold them to account it doesn't mean the lame opposition should follow suit, even if it makes them unpopular in a few fucking yougov polls

Our records show you recently cancelled your Labour Party membership Direct Debit. If this was a mistake, get in touch with us today to make sure you remain a member of our inspiring movement.

I like my bowel movements to be dull and maybe with the odd bit of inspiration from a book I'm reading rather than my occasionally inflamed and painful Starmeroids. But "inspiring movement" lol.. seriously just fuck off!

calzino, Tuesday, 5 May 2020 21:18 (six years ago)

mmm yes britons must not become addicted to receiving the 80% of their wage they are being paid because going to work might kill them, their friends, family members or strangers, better cut that back so that they can make more desperate risks for the good of the economy

Millennials are using this app to speak in just 3 weeks. (bizarro gazzara), Tuesday, 5 May 2020 21:18 (six years ago)

Genuinely gasped that Raab's response to having the worst death toll in Europe was to claim we're world class at counting bodies.
