Amid all this there's evidence of a staggering level of contempt towards even moderate MPs by unelected apparatchiks.

Matt DC, Monday, 13 April 2020 11:49 (six years ago)

the next left-wing Labour leader needs to be a bit more like Soso if they want to last longer than 5 years and not suffer internal wreckers stabbing them in the back every day.

Abbott being my local MP at least makes it impossible for me to go Never Voting Labour Again In My Life.

Daniel_Rf, Monday, 13 April 2020 12:24 (six years ago)

after seeing some of her constant melt retweets recently I don't feel so bad my local MP was beaten by a tory shit!

calzino, Monday, 13 April 2020 12:33 (six years ago)

Making a note of everyone both-sidesing this or explaining how the real enemies are the Tories, should provide a handy xls of the next batch of wrecking cunts

crisp, Monday, 13 April 2020 12:44 (six years ago)

the Tory faction in the PLP are bigger enemies than the Tories in the Tory Party and always will be. These "real enemies are tories" arseholes are so full of it.

he believes in free school meals because it is a public school tradition?? lol fuck knows!

calzino, Monday, 13 April 2020 13:05 (six years ago)

wouldn't give free school meals to these scum if it wasn't a public school tradition for school kids to eat together? idk he's obv got a warped Tory mindset

JUst when you need an actual opposition.
BUt seems to be going on for a while. Does this date back much further, is it a constant in a broad coalition party like that?
Was hoping that the Bojo story of the last few days might lead to a better gorvernment. Now I'm hearing he was possibly faking, hope he found exactly the wrong place to do that in.
& this shite.

Stevolende, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:03 (six years ago)

It seems incredibly unlikely that Johnson was faking. But even less likely that a few days in hospital will make him less of a Tory. The Labour Party has always been at war with itself but I feel like this particular snide cadre of antidemocratic middle managers is a Blairite development.

où sont les threads d'antan? (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 April 2020 14:06 (six years ago)

Maybe not faking it but at least milking it with mild symptoms imo. Yours, Boris truther to the death!

calzino, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:12 (six years ago)

He had Man COVID-19.

The Corbynite Maneuver (Tom D.), Monday, 13 April 2020 14:17 (six years ago)

It's just a distraction to me calz, why worry about an imagined conspiracy when his real villainy is in plain sight all the time?

où sont les threads d'antan? (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 April 2020 14:17 (six years ago)

If he was faking it they wouldn't have spent 24hrs when he was in hospital going 'everything is fine!'

Matt DC, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:22 (six years ago)

if I believed he's actually going to actually get hung out to dry for his villainy I might just patiently wait for that moment without getting sucked into daft conspiracies. But I think he'll get away with it scot-free anyway.

calzino, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:22 (six years ago)

Xp Yes that, the very real sense that he was out of it/incommunicado possibly for 3 days or more, before we get to the number of people who'd have to be in on it with no reason to keep quiet. I think this QAnon shit is best left to Ayn Rand bros tbh.

où sont les threads d'antan? (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 April 2020 14:24 (six years ago)

less of the fucking Ayn Rand bros pal!

calzino, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:25 (six years ago)

Lol I said best left to them

My dad was prone to fits of moon landing denial, this a stuff just grinds my gears.

où sont les threads d'antan? (Noodle Vague), Monday, 13 April 2020 14:28 (six years ago)

to me it seems vmic for him to exaggerate how ill he was and if he was putting on a bit of a performance it would hardly need a conspiracy to make it work. He's the PM and staff at the hospitals are bit too busy rn and probably might be a bit wary about saying oh that fucker is taking the piss!

calzino, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:32 (six years ago)

Didn't think he was going to improve his performance. Thought anybody else might though.

Stevolende, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:41 (six years ago)

Nobody is saying Boris was faking it, just that he maybe didn't require hospitalization and that the news was heavily managed to elicit sympathy and support.

Wuhan!! Got You All in Check (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Monday, 13 April 2020 14:43 (six years ago)

like under normal circumstances he would absolutely require hospitalization, but not right now

Wuhan!! Got You All in Check (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Monday, 13 April 2020 14:43 (six years ago)

Christ. I heard fucking Nicholas Soames saying earlier that being so close to death will have profoundly changed Boris. Oh stfu you silly old cunt!

calzino, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:47 (six years ago)

for some certain behaviour seems to be malingering, others think faking it, others merely milking it.
THink there are a lot of people suffering heavily because of his negligence and lack of being the right person at the right time for everybody else in the country.
Just think that on both sides of the Atlantic there is a figurehead who would by default show that the system was a bit broken . Innit.

Stevolende, Monday, 13 April 2020 14:48 (six years ago)

Well yeah, no argument there.

kindof amazing how little interest the guardian has shown in the labour leak. there is one article about it on the website. they are as we know very capable of publishing unreadably large bulk of material on one single topic. during the peak of the anti-semitism stories, they were publishing several many about it every day over a period of weeks. often with very little in the way of new material. seems odd that, given the editorial interest in this topic, that such a large amount of new information would prompt so little coverage. possibly i'm being unfair and they are simply caught offguard as the leak went to sky news, maybe there's panama papers style coverage of this and they already have several journalists pulling different stories out of it to cover. it would be odd as they do not really have a reputation for cautious reporting on national politics but its possible. i won't hold my breath though.
