My relatives who work/worked in law enforcement aren’t Blue Lives Matter people; there is a story I’m misremembering about how my dad’s cousin got his partner fired after said partner intentionally endangered my dad’s cousin’s life as retaliation for my dad’s cousin intervening when the partner was unnecessarily hassling black youth on the MTA.

Also, I don’t know anyone else’s family history with the police but every male in my family except me has been in handcuffs and police officers lynched my great-grandfather. I have never nor would I ever hold the opinion that police officers are an unimpeachable good.
