This right here is some quality writing. Don't like what someone has to say? Make it sound like they're jacking off into their own mouth.

The constant evoking of “anger” and “rage” as somehow disqualifying a position is such a massive tell. It’s like seeing FB contacts I know post in ways to suggest they think being conflict-averse is somehow a political stance

when you're a memeber of the Comfortable Class, it most definitely is. pretty much their only stance.

i think the 'bernie bro' stuff is truer now than it was in 2015/6; the runaway popularity of chapo in the last 3 years has created this enormous long left-tail of unfunny young dudes trying out the mean style in replies but who aren't good at it

here's some more detail about the author of that NYT article and her rich family
Ok this is funny. @NellieBowles—the author of this scandalized NYT article about the supposedly fake leftists (they make money!) of @CHAPOTRAPHOUSE leading the youngs to a bad, violent revolution—is a member of the oldest oligarch family in California.https://t.co/A0yCxM3IbN— Yasha Levine (@yashalevine) February 29, 2020

Here’s a question for the real headz: name off some of the best eps for converting a Chapo curious PMC (sorry) We listened to the Matt/Amber/Virgil ep about the UK election on a road trip and she liked that. Then dipped into one of the recent live ones and didn’t catch a lot of the inside riffs. Obv live=not usually the best intro to a pod, particularly one like CtHI’m a frequent enjoyer of the show, but I can’t say which classic eps would best fit the bill.

I think the closest thing we have to a consensus among the most good faith interlocutors in this thread is that Bernie needs to Sister Souljah Chapo. That would be insanely lucrative for them and mainly meaningless to normal people.— 'Weird Alex' Pareene (@pareene) March 6, 2020
