despite being northerners my family drank iced tea by the gallons and it takes little effort to avoid all the plastic bottle waste. just recycle an old bottle and carry it around!

My two favourite answers to the pointless last question ("what is the biggeat misconception about you and what is the motto you live by?") were: Klobuchar wanting to correct the record that she is not boring and then giving such a tedious exposition on her motto that the moderator forgot what the motto was and had to ask again; and Buttigieg dispelling the myth that he is not passionate by providing a nuanced breakdown of all the ways in which he tries to restrain outward demonstrations of passion in the interest of reason and civility.

from what little I saw, I liked the part where the candidate who is definitely not a CIA agent leapt on the chance to say that old American/CIA foreign interventions and coups weren't relevant to the present day

How many people actually have a motto? Someone could have converted thousands of voters with a simple "My motto? Are you serious?" reply.
