I don't think there's been any expectation of Bernie winning SC? As with Nevada, the horse race story is going to be the margin of victory.

that PPP poll for SC could be an outlier. other recent polls have put biden's margin over sanders at more like +4 to +5

i actually think bernie has a good chance of winning SC. biden used to have a huge margin there, and other than the PPP poll from earlier today, recent polling has shown it tightening up.

He signaled several times he would, and every reporter has said he would; I tend to believe the reporters.

tom scocca has been making the point that "the establishment" wouldn't have this problem if they had rallied around warren, which on one level misses the point (lots of the establishment disagree with her on policy), but on the other hand you feel like she would have satisfied that part of the establishment that cares less about policy and more about style. in any case, i'm sure they wish they'd backed her now.

It's so, so dumb that anyone spends any time thinking about who "wins" each primary when the difference in delegates between Biden 25 / Sanders 23 and Biden 23 / Sanders 25 is, well, basically nothing.

Re Scocca's theory on the establishment kneecapping Warren, of course as a Warren supporter I'd like to believe that but the honest truth is that most people aren't particularly like me, and don't like what I like or want what I want or care about what I care about, and so they don't support the candidate I like, it's not a conspiracy, so be it and too bad.

How did they kneecap her? Idg that. And is she more capable an administrator than Sanders and thus more likely to effectively implement eat-the-rich policies that hurt the Establishment or is she less threatening to the Establishment because ... why now? Didn't say good things about literacy in Cuba? Supporters don't make rat jokes?
