I think the implication was that the people complaining about a lack of diverse voices earlier in this thread are largely cisgender white straight men

I found ilx in ‘03 and have since been a daily lurker and occasional poster. I’ve learned so much here from ilxors like Milton Parker, dylannn, John D4rni3lle, Sund4r, Scott Seward, momus, Ta-Nehisi Coates, and even deej.

Where have they all gone?

Maybe I’m old or too sensitive but I feel increasingly at odds with nearly everyone here. I don’t want to be unkind to anyone so I’ll stay quiet.

I don't think Coates posted enough to count, leaving us with seven ilxors. Four are ostensibly still active to varying degrees, which is more than 50% over a period of almost two decades. That's a pretty good percentage, right? Certainly not enough to warrant a 'where are the snows of yesteryear?'-type lament. Sounds like your main reasons for self-ejecting lie elsewhere, Yelp.

I recently ran into one of TNC's posts while doing an ilx search on an unrelated purpose. Surprised me to see the name used in a year prior to TNC becoming well known. It was articulate, pointed, but nothing deathless, much like your somewhat above-average ilx post.
