Joy Orbison I just can't fathom. It's so pointless, what's the relationship? Is it just that Roy Orbison is 'old timey'? At least Wevie Stonder is supposed to be ridiculous.

I recall coming across a band once called Deflator Mouse. That's pretty funny. It's not a musical pun, per se (though it is a musical pun), but I always liked the band name Shitty Shitty Band Band.

Shitty Shitty Band Band is all-time, have heard they are aptly named though.

I love the idea of just putting quotes around a band name to change it, not Morrissey, but "Morrissey" i.e.

A friend of mine had a really great/annoying band for a while and they were booked to open for Wolf Eyes. I don't think Wolf Eyes were so into their set; the day after the show, they posted "thanks so much for coming to the show last night, apologies about the bum opener, but we had a great time with y'all" or however Wolf Eyes type these things.

My friend was like "...bum opener?" and we've been sitting on Bum Opener as a great future band name

You have to call your first track "Album Opener".

A friend's band made often brilliant but only semi-listenable noise music, they had one amazing track which everyone would ask about, so they renamed it "The Crowdpleaser" to throw some shade at it. I found this annoying, it was genuinely the best thing they did.
