Being a kid's game, and thinking that all ten year olds are stupid, the major problem you had to solve was noise pollution. People were blasting rock and roll music at boom car volume and it was causing the public pain, and the kicker is the answer wasn't multiple choice, you had to free form type it in.

Anyway once you devised it was "headphones" considering we were in the Walkman Renaissance, suddenly you won the election by a billion votes and it was all so disappointing.

Tried a Gore-Kerry ticket, still lost.

that combo seemed to do no better or worse than any other running mate.

ahhh then I got creamed in 88 as Dukakis with John Glenn as my running mate. I had a lot of states in play right up until I wouldn't commit to "no new taxes". from then on i could never recover.

the first one i tried was nixon v kennedy, 1960, as nixon,(and boringly, with henry cabot lodge jr as running mate). kennedy won in a landslide (333 EVs)

i did some really dumb things, though. they asked me if i wanted to debate JFK on tv, and even though i know the sweaty history, i thought it would look weak if i refused to debate him. so i debated anyway (and got my sweaty ass kicked).

there were a bunch of questions about the civil rights movement, and i felt like an asshole trying to thread the needle without offending the south too much. turns out i got my ass kicked in the south anyway, so i should have introduced reparations and steep penalties for anyone living in a state with a confederate flag on it

oh dont' worry, once you lose this stupid game three times, it becomes EASY TO SELL OUT
