I just wish that people would ask themselves, before posting any kind of dunk, "do other people do this behavior/possess this trait?", "are those other people also Bad?" and then, if the answers to those questions are yes and no, not dunk on that particular behavior

Biden's claims for Buttigeig's record are accurate. His claims for his own record are highly simplified and inflated. But it's an effective ad and, yes, cold as hell.

I should sign up for those; the Warren ones I get have a tone of self-pitying desperation that I really don't like ("Everyone else is raising more money than us - we only need 10 more people in Your State to donate and we'll be able to save this starving puppy continue our campaign through New Hampshire"), and the Trump ones read like a sales pitch from Glengarry Glen Ross ("My aides are going to present me a list of American Patriots on Friday, Bob, and I want to see your name on that list").

Buttigeig is transparently a nobody who was talent-scouted by powerful people who saw the progressive bandwagons for Sanders and Warren picking up major support, were horrified at the prospect, and went looking for their own Wendell Willkie figure they could promote as a spoiler, some empty vessel for whom they could craft a national image without any pesky pre-existing image getting in the way of the shiny new product they were selling. They did a damn good job of it, too, when you consider how much of a nobody Pete was just a year ago.
