No matter how many times I see them, blacked out teeth/moustaches/dicks/etc drawn onto subway posters will never get old for me.

I can’t get over how people can’t be bothered to stop watching their dumbass Netflix shows on their phones long enough to get out of the doorways.

C/D: Those who enter but then linger tentatively on the threshold of the car like a blushing Goldilocks whilst they decide upon the best of all possible seats for themselves.

she was placing her ass crack on the ridge between 1-2 or 2-3

she was also (take note st. peter) leaning forward while sitting, elbows on knees. like it's not enough that you have a seat, you also have to shove your head into my fucking groin while i make room for ppl

mookieproof, Saturday, 22 February 2020 04:56 (six years ago)

was she making a stand or did she seem high?

Yerac, Saturday, 22 February 2020 04:59 (six years ago)

mookieproof, Saturday, 22 February 2020 05:04 (six years ago)

This morning we got on the 2 train at Sterling St and there was a bit of a smell but I thought it wasn't worth worrying about too much as we were only riding two stops but then my wife turned to me and said "Is that man playing with shit?" And sure enough he was: the man opposite was turning a turd in his palms. So we changed carriages at the next station.

Alba, Sunday, 23 February 2020 01:43 (six years ago)

Carriages? Blimey

mookieproof, Sunday, 23 February 2020 06:52 (six years ago)

Sorry: I'm British and in the horror of the recollection forgot you don't say carriages.

Alba, Sunday, 23 February 2020 07:23 (six years ago)

You don’t say “carriages” for the Tube either! But we’re losing focus on what’s important here.

Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Sunday, 23 February 2020 11:35 (six years ago)

You don't?

Alba, Sunday, 23 February 2020 12:08 (six years ago)

I’m positive there’s a historical reason why the London Underground calls its train carriages “cars” - but have zero recollection how I know this apart from the usual way i.e. having dreamt it

Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Sunday, 23 February 2020 12:23 (six years ago)

Maybe an episode of Sherlock, Tracer?

Alba, Sunday, 23 February 2020 13:15 (six years ago)

LU may call them cars, but passengers always call them carriages.

the grateful dead can dance (anagram), Sunday, 23 February 2020 13:35 (six years ago)

Lol it probably was Sherlock.

can someone explain why congestion pricing in manhattan requires federal approval

mookieproof, Monday, 24 February 2020 18:09 (six years ago)

“YOU PLAYIN’ WITH THE WRONG BITCH!”

calstars, Tuesday, 25 February 2020 22:24 (six years ago)

ugh. I decided to use Staten Island, SI Live as the newsource for that question. "...requires federal approval due to some roads within the program’s limits receiving federal funding or being considered part of the interstate highway system."

More MTA employees have died from coronavirus in the past couple weeks than all of the NYPD officers who have been shot and killed over the last 30 years. https://t.co/zjcQonoOcP

What are the odds there'll be a mass "transit lives matter" movement carried out by white authoritarian-leaning suburbanites across this great nation? No? Nothing? Gosh.
