I don't think the electability case for Sanders is that he'll appeal to people for whom this kind of "populism" is appealing and who would otherwise vote for Trump; it's that idealistic voters under 35 will show up and vote for the Democrat who otherwise wouldn't vote at all. It's not a crazy case!

not really, the only questionable part of it is "the" (there are probably more than one) but everything else is fine, writing-wise

he's going for poetry, and repeating the word "issue" makes it feel like a same-word rhyme

which would be relevant if it were, in fact, a poem

this is like that thing going around trashing a bunch of lyrics from wicked including "bridges you've crossed you never knew you crossed until you crossed" -- there are a lot of horrible lines but that isn't one of them. repetition for emphasis and effect is a valid writing device, and doesn't stop being so just because the guy who sucks decided to use it
