IMO a certain amount of kicking-up-a-fuss is useful to incentivize staffers to not fuck up any of the others

What DOES work is sober post-mortems where the people who fucked up feel empowered to admit to their mistakes without fear of being pilloried, which allows people to actually own up to their contributions to the problem rather than managing their defensiveness.

This is going to be forgotten in exactly the same way the DNC's treatment of Sanders in 2016 was forgotten, or the resentment over Sanders' perceived slowness in endorsing Hillary Clinton, or Clinton's tactics in the 2008 primary against Obama has been forgotten

From what I see on twitter there is an awareness from the people saying conspiracy on how an awful a look it is. But there is (rightly) a lot of investment, it's not going to take a lot to go from distrust to something else.

tbf getting anything higher than fourth was a victory for Buttigieg and -- yes, I'm vaguely defending him here -- he was vague about what victory he won
