yeah, i don't think every poll needs P&J bloody tears level of point debating.

Well under the current scoring regime I found myself kicking some shows off my ballot so that I only had 10 total entries.

i also only did 4.

I didn't actually order my already submitted ballot that carefully after the initial top four, tbh, and considered only voting for four also.

No reason to kick things off just to have ten! Any picks between eleven and twenty get five points and doesn’t penalize your first ten at all!

Only benefit to fewer picks is the under five ballot, where every vote gets fifteen.
Intent there is to encourage casuals to vote and to have a rooting interest. It appears to be working, we have ballots of all types now!

I don't have the sensibility to work out whether 'strategically voting' for only a top 10 will benefit my favoured shows or not. Nor do I really have the restraint to only vote for a top 10.

indeed, yes, I posted that to mean that it would be a bad idea to change the rules / shift the goalposts after people had already submitted their ballots.

I don't think a different weighting would have a significant effect anyway.

Yeah I didn't realize voting for the Good Place was possible! But I'm comfy with my top 4 as they are, as much as I like the Good Place (would have rated season 1 as #1 of 2016 I imagine) I'd put 2019 TGP in the group of things I'd be happy to see in the rolllout but to which I don't want to give the same points as I do to my absolute faves.
