interesting, i've never actually seen it myself I was looking at my recommendations in Amazon. As a guess it looks like its on my list because I bought Silent Running and Dark Star films.

In my dream, Sarah and I were on a plane, but we were going on seperate trips, she was going somewhere with her mom and I was going to NYC. I was staying with Phil-two so I went to his apartment. It was large and white. He told me that his apartment was too expensive and that he was going to move to northeastern Canada (like in the tundra) and was going to commute to NYC. He said that he got the money for his move by smuggling guns. Then he showed me an itemized bill comparing the cost of his current apartment to the cost of his new apartment. It turned out he was paying like $100,000 a month in rent and had to pay for all repairs. We were going to leave to go eat or something, but first I had to make a call. I looked in my bag to find the phone number and realized that Sarah had left her glasses in my bag. Then I found the number, I had to call my drug dealer and arrange to meet up with him later. My drug dealer was D'Angelo from The Wire (I've been watching too much of The Wire lately).

I mentioned this on another thread, but last night I dreamt that Jeremy, Nickalicious and I were WWII soldiers, the dream was like a 1940s film, and it ended with Remy and Nick making out passionately in black and white.

I had an ILX dream that we were all (most of ILX) in a restaurant together, and it had a lot of classic arcade games in the corner, and all the girs were getting mad because the guys were spending all their quarters on the video games, and we had our own ILX-themed jukebox and were playing songs to pass the time. I started tango-ing with people to Tom Waits songs, and I was dancing with jel and I kept trying to get Markleby to dance with me but he wouldn't, but it's probably a good thing because then I fell on jel and crushed his head. With my breasts. (This is quite embarrassing since I have never met jel and he seems like such the gentleman)

So I'm in some sort of gymnasium or something when I see Chris V walking around in a baseball uniform, looking very serious, and it dawns on me: He made the U.S. Olympic baseball team. And I'm at the Olympics. So I watch him and the team for a little while, and the next thing I know, I'm standing on first base, which Chris is defending. The base, however, as with all the bases on the field, is a large pizza. I'm not sure whether I should fully stand on it or not, in case it's being saved for later. At no time does it occur to me that this probably isn't actually the Olympics.

Especially because my morning newspaper arrives, and it's the ILX EDITION -- you know, how some major metropolitan areas have special regional editions for if you're in the suburbs or the city -- and the front page is all about the Olympics. And there's two separate articles about relatives of Chuck Eddy. In one, his mom is interviewed about how excited she is about the Olympics. Another is about his brother, who's like a referee or something.

Later, back at the baseball game, Teeny has set up her sleeping bag on the field, which has now shrunk to the size of a bedroom. Chris V has to tell her that she should probably move to the next room over, since there's a game going on and she'll get hit. (Although when she gets up she looks less like Teeny and more like Maria Tessa Sciarrino.)

I had this dream last night that my band was playing a show with my friends' band, the Super-Eights, and some other band. While the first band was playing, I got bored and took a walk outside and ended up taking a nap on a bench on the El platform. Then I went back, and the Super-Eights were playing, and the guitarist was playing one guitar with his hands while kicking another guitar with his foot to make noise. I went online to ILX on my laptop there in the club and jocelyn had said something on ILX that seemed to reference the guitar player playing with his foot so I was like WTF? jocelyn is at this show? But then she posted something that made it clear she was talking about something completely different and it was just a coincidence.

I ate too much pizza last night and had way too many dreams. THREE involved me still being in college and not having gone to classes in weeks (I'm still kind of frazzled). In one dream I was reading an article in SPIN where they had different types of women sit in pools for long periods of time reading different magazines (I think it was a scientific study). There was a group shot of a bunch of baseball, music and movie critics and Maura was wearing a large jacket with graffiti on it and bleached blue jeans. There was also an article about how 90210 was terrific, and how later characters people dismissed because they were introduced in the final seasons now seemed terrific in re-runs. I had another dream where I was massaging the legs of a different ilxor (her name is removed to protect the innocent). They were stubbly but I didn't mind. I also had a dream where I was really mad at my co-worker, Bob Dylan, who refused to do any work and I actually started throwing books at him. I was also upset cuz I hadn't gone to class in weeks. I think I was starting to dream about another ilxor but then someone knocked on my door to announce they were cutting off the power to my place for a couple hours. :(

I dreamt last night that I was in a big house but I'd eaten and drank too much and had to go for a lie down. So I pass out on this bed in a messy bedroom, and at some point become aware that Texas Sam has come into the room and is singing to herself in the en-suite bathroom. I am still woozy and sprawled on the bed, and it's clear she hasn't noticed me. I'm not sure what to do.

Anyway, after a couple of minutes listening to her unselfconsciously warbling away, I thought I'd better make my presence known. So I got up, picked up a couple of dirty plates and walked towards the door. Suddenly she spins round, terrified, and brandishes a pearl-handled revolver at me, screaming "what the fuck are you doing here?!".

I woke up at this point.

one month passes...

I had a strange (real life) experience just now. A co-worker (I don't know particularly well) in another department, who is also a clergyman, just pulled me aside to tell me about a dream he had about me. The imagery involved was very disturbing, but then he told me that someone he consults about dreams told him that it meant victory and that anything I touch will turn to money. He wanted to know the month and day I was born, as well. I didn't want to give it out at first, but then curiosity got the better of me. (He's goign to ge back to me with more information.) I was expecting him to tell me it meant I was in danger of killing myself, or I was going to hell or something. If it means anything (and I am open to the idea of psychic whatever you want to all it), it could be a reference to my attempt to change my status at work (though that's not particularly money related).

I've been having a recurring dream where I am living in an apartment in NYC. I've no idea why. I remember one particularly strange part where I was wandering round the city in an attempt to find someplace that was fairly significant... a building I think... something to do with yellow; not necessarily the colour, e.g. a yellow taxi, but maybe it was in the name or something.

I've never been to NYC so I'd be interested if this rings any bells for anyone who has been/who lives there...

I just took a nap and dreamt that Ned Raggett and Dave Q went to a pub and plotted to take over ILX by themselves, which involved banning everyone but them.

Not knowing what Dave Q looks like, he was represented by a crown set atop a copy of A Night at the Opera, in a bit of "Doonesbury"-esque surrealism.

I dreamed Sarah and I went to the same high school, and she was in this super advanced Biology class and I wasn't. So apparently every year in this class the students and teacher discuss people they think should be in the class next year, and my name came up, but Sarah didn't think I'd be good for that class. She told me this in the hall. She said she thought I'd be too nice, or was too much of a pushover, or that I was somehow not tough enough for that Biology class. I was so mad at her.

But the teacher, who happened to be my senior Biology teacher in real life, thought that Sarah was wrong about me and gave me the entry test anyway, which wasn't just a test, it was a test and an interview and I had to give references -- references from people who would say I'd be really good at biology, I guess. Anyway, I got in and then Sarah and I were friends again, though I was still a little mad at her.
