OMG I was totes in support of Logan + VM, I was practically suckerpunched by that scene. So hot.
― But not someone who should be dead anyway (Laurel), Monday, 22 June 2009 19:21 (seventeen years ago)
would be more into it if logan wasnt so dumb lookin
― rip dom passantino 3/5/09 never forget (max), Monday, 22 June 2009 19:21 (seventeen years ago)
I like Logan except for his retarded bro necklaces. We're about halfway through s2, still digging it except I'm missing the episodicness of s1.
― congratulations (n/a), Monday, 22 June 2009 19:23 (seventeen years ago)
logan's hair makes him look like a dragonball z character.
― ian, Monday, 22 June 2009 19:24 (seventeen years ago)
logan as a character - interesting, well-rounded, well-actedlogan as an object to look at - doughy, terrible fashion, terrible hair, worst necklaces
― rip dom passantino 3/5/09 never forget (max), Monday, 22 June 2009 19:24 (seventeen years ago)
ok yeah I'll agree with that
― congratulations (n/a), Monday, 22 June 2009 19:25 (seventeen years ago)

i wonder what shakey thinks of this.
Crinkly eyes, no lips to speak of, pale like the belly of a dead fish. This is, for better or worse, 100% my type.

guy who plays Logan is a 2nd-generation $cientologist, if that helps you enjoy his character more, max

i am wracking my brain and damn if I can't recall a single smashworthy dude from this show
― giovanni & ribsy (elmo argonaut), Monday, 22 June 2009 19:48 (seventeen years ago)
weevil?
― ian, Monday, 22 June 2009 19:48 (seventeen years ago)
i was always hoping veronica would break down and booty call weevil after one of her breakups.
― ian, Monday, 22 June 2009 19:49 (seventeen years ago)
well steve gutenberg is a vintage smash but lookin rough lately
― giovanni & ribsy (elmo argonaut), Monday, 22 June 2009 19:55 (seventeen years ago)
lol boys. i love logan.
― horseshoe, Monday, 22 June 2009 19:56 (seventeen years ago)
until season 3, in which i pretty much hate everyone.
weevil is smashworthy until season 3. something happened to that actor's face.
― horseshoe, Monday, 22 June 2009 19:58 (seventeen years ago)
also that very goodlooking young man who played lindsay lohan's love interest in mean girls is in one episode of veronica mars--ws.
― horseshoe, Monday, 22 June 2009 19:59 (seventeen years ago)
just saw the one with alia shawkat and michael cera, which was kinda wtf
― congratulations (n/a), Monday, 22 June 2009 20:03 (seventeen years ago)
I think the original plan was to have Cera be the season 2 rapist, but that would probably have involved not being Michael Cera.
― Sir William of Joel (Nicole), Monday, 22 June 2009 20:07 (seventeen years ago)
yeah i sensed they were headed in that direction when i first watched that episode and it had me ON EDGE.
― horseshoe, Monday, 22 June 2009 20:08 (seventeen years ago)

also lol max if u r still reading this did u decide to watch this because of party down?
― combination pizza hut and shanty town (Lamp), Monday, 22 June 2009 21:02 (seventeen years ago)
Hey I just finished season 3 (late to the party). I was watching the penultimate episode and was psyched cuz I thought I had a whole other disc to watch (getting them from Netflix) but then I saw that the last disc was just extras so there was one ep left! And it was weird and left a whole lot of things completely hanging. (The previous episode brought up the Fitzpatricks wanting Cordelia's money and I thought there was some question as to whether she was really dead - but that didn't go anywhere).
In S3 - the rapist storyline - VM thought it couldn't be Mercer because he had a phone-in radio show. Did they explain that?
Anyway, sucks that this is finished :(
― Not the real Village People, Sunday, 21 March 2010 19:40 (sixteen years ago)
IIRC they were playing Mercer's show over the speakers at the party and she heard the audio skip - then she realized that it was pre-recorded and he had no alibi.

I just watched the last few episodes last night. It was such a superb show, just so brilliant, and the end of season 3 just left me so...cold. I don't necessarily need everything to be wrapped in a nice bow but when after the finale I'm scrambling to see if I forgot the last DVD then it seems like SOMETHING went wrong. I'll blame the network for picking up the final episodes last minute, not allowing time for a cohesive final arc - in other news, Smallville is on season 9!
Random notes:
-A+++ decision to drop Duncan from the show for season 3 - glad I wasn't the only one who was firmly team Logan/Veronica, not to mention that the Duncan character was complete dead weight anyway. I only wish their relationship could have been a bit more steady in the end, as it was getting a bit too Ross & Rachel for my liking.-The murder of Aaron Echolls was dismissed far too casually- father of Logan, movie star, acquitted murderer was killed execution style right after the trial and barely two words about it in season 3?-Did anyone else not recognize the other female in the S3 credits as Parker immediately? It was about 10 episodes in that I figured that it wasn't a character that was coming mid-season, ha.-One thing I found a bit jarring but didn't get too hung up on was that Veronica would still associate with Dick (not that they were bffs) even though she knew that he facilitated her rape. And Logan loved to get smashy smashy at any man who dared give Veronica the side eye so his continued friendship with Dick was a bit of a plot hole in my mind.-Were the Weevil and Logan actors on roids for season 3? Both were a lot bigger and very pimply (check out Logan's back during the surfing scenes).

So this is all on Netflix Watch Instantly now it seems. I can finally watch it from beginning to end instead of loose episodes I've caught here and there. Amazing use of The Streets in pilot!

i can't quite put my finger on why this show's cynicism seems so much more thorough than like a 'grownup cop show' or a teen-themed show with all kinds of social backstabbing, or what have you.

such a great show! and yeah, I don't think any of the cast has gone on to do anything as good, though it was fun to see them all show up on Party Down. Seyfried's rise is kind of pleasing even if I haven't seen any of her movies
