Kane pulls a hamstring scoring while offside.

ShariVari, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 16:32 (six years ago)

kane offside by the width of a pulled hamstring

tbh no loss to see him subbed

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 16:32 (six years ago)

xp off

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 16:33 (six years ago)

we're back

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 16:55 (six years ago)

that was as mediocre as I've seen Wolves play in a while. very disappointing to follow up the Man City victory and the gutty effort at Liverpool with this, but lord knows that's a helluva week with those three matches.

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 16:57 (six years ago)

watford holding wolves at bay with ten a good bit better than city did

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 16:57 (six years ago)

They defended well (Watford)

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 16:59 (six years ago)

i never thought watford were cannon-fodder with their squad but it's taken sensible hardman nigel pearson to bring out their strengths, they look like getting out of it

arsenal 5 points clear of relegation zone. alas reports say they looked much better in the last game

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 17:01 (six years ago)

cheated out of it by the referee

the VAR sending off is potentially the worst VAR decision yet, no excuse for it, directly told the referee his decision was wrong

Kebabs Windsor (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 17:01 (six years ago)

wait what

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 17:02 (six years ago)

i think it was probably a good VAR decision! i.e. it was probably a red

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 17:02 (six years ago)

in what circumstances is VAR supposed to be invoked? clear and obvious error missed by the referee. the ref had a clear view and decided it wasn't a red. imo it was a red, but VAR has now over-ruled the idiot's decision which looks a helluva lot like mission creep to me.

i'll go into the coward cheat ref's consistent condoning of Watford kicking us to death later on

Kebabs Windsor (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 17:05 (six years ago)

in the defence of that one, they were looking at the other defender's position on the var check i think

Mourinho: "The yellow card was fair, because I was rude. But I was rude to an idiot"

— Jack Lang (@jacklang) January 1, 2020

mookieproof, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 17:27 (six years ago)

xpost

It's rubbish, the ref could see both defenders, the law says "clear goalscoring opportunity" and arguing the toss over the defender is meaningless. It shd've been a red, but in that situation VAR isn't bringing additional knowledge to the decision it's just disagreeing with the ref.

Same ref who booked Neto for getting fouled in the box but hey.

Kebabs Windsor (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 17:48 (six years ago)

haller goal >>>> brighton goal

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 18:29 (six years ago)

On first look that City goal looked more offside than the one of ours that got insanely disallowed earlier

Dadjokke (Sgt. Biscuits), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 18:45 (six years ago)

Magnificent hubris by Bravo

Dadjokke (Sgt. Biscuits), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:01 (six years ago)

gaaah these spawny bastards always score late, and they're not even any good

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:14 (six years ago)

it's alright they've got a month of Zaha not having his heart in it while they refuse to sell him for less than twice what he's worth now.

Kebabs Windsor (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:17 (six years ago)

tbf he is completely invaluable to them

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:19 (six years ago)

in an alt timeline it sort of works out for him at united and palace were relegated four years ago

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:19 (six years ago)

seriously think he may have passed the point where he's gonna attract serious interest from *cough* the big clubs *cough*

Kebabs Windsor (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:21 (six years ago)

he'd be an asset to almost every club in this league

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:23 (six years ago)

not the same thing as being a player that the kind of club he wants to go to will pay first team regular money for

Kebabs Windsor (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:24 (six years ago)

and so we are stuck in the hellverse where he gives ten to twelve years of his life to promoting and then protecting the worst* football club in south london, and there's nothing anyone can do about it

*i'm biased and what of it

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:27 (six years ago)

oh sure nobody said it was fair

Kebabs Windsor (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:30 (six years ago)

imagine if we'd gotten to keep hold of jonjo shelvey ademola lookman, it's like that basically

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 19:32 (six years ago)

man utd dogshit that half. arsenal absolutely rinsing them. ozil superb.

oscar bravo, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 20:52 (six years ago)

pepe with the most astonishingly bad simulation i've seen in ages, should be an automatic yellow

imago, Wednesday, 1 January 2020 21:09 (six years ago)

IMO there should be a 'dead card' that when you simulate really badly, it's shown and firing squad shoots you on the field

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Wednesday, 1 January 2020 21:14 (six years ago)

didn't take jose long to find the luke shaw in his new team. am surprised that it's ndombele tho.

oscar bravo, Thursday, 2 January 2020 14:34 (six years ago)

I'm sympathetic with him on the Shaw issue now

His showing last night was a disgrace

Number None, Thursday, 2 January 2020 14:46 (six years ago)

lingard and matic nowhere near it either

oscar bravo, Thursday, 2 January 2020 14:48 (six years ago)

i mean i did think you were maybe exaggerating about lingard of late but he was hopeless last night.

oscar bravo, Thursday, 2 January 2020 14:49 (six years ago)

in other news be sad to see bournemouth relegated, they've been a non-negligible revenue stream for lfc over the last couple of season

oscar bravo, Thursday, 2 January 2020 14:51 (six years ago)

Lingard didn't score or assist a league goal in 2019

Solskjaer should have been sacked for gross negligence the moment he was named on the team sheet

Number None, Thursday, 2 January 2020 15:06 (six years ago)

imago impotent rage at palace's continuing ability to grind out acceptable results low-key the only thing keeping me at all engaged with the sport rn

Appleman Appears: 20/2/2020. Whose Cider You On? (Bananaman Begins), Friday, 3 January 2020 09:25 (six years ago)

mourinho confirms that kane's injury is likely career-ending, also wore a t-shirt that had "ndombele out" printed on it but refused to take questions on the matter- when asked about the possibility of signing striker cover for kane or indeed first team options for defence he promptly turned into a bat and flew away

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Friday, 3 January 2020 13:33 (six years ago)

tell you what its better than poch riddles anyway

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Friday, 3 January 2020 13:34 (six years ago)

bit cheeky United valuing Maddison at £20 million

Kebabs Windsor (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 5 January 2020 17:44 (six years ago)

Lemar is good imo but i don't think 'tricky attacking midfielder' is the most pressing way for Spurs to blow €60m.

ShariVari, Tuesday, 7 January 2020 12:09 (six years ago)

I read loan with an option to buy which might make sense but yeah hardly a priority position right now.

Guessing Lo Celso is going as well.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 7 January 2020 13:30 (six years ago)

Are they they not obliged to buy lo Celso?

ShariVari, Tuesday, 7 January 2020 13:33 (six years ago)

lol

if we finish top four lol

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 January 2020 13:43 (six years ago)

id complete lo celso deal now fwiw, 32m fee if we do it now iirc

and id loan lemar with an option

we dont have any competition in that squad

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 January 2020 13:44 (six years ago)

GLC has looked bright in places but he's the only player we have (other than Alderweireld) who's capable of playing incisive forward passes from deep, and one reason why we've been stop-start this season is because we're very awkward, slow and predictable in transitions. OK he hasn't always been accurate in those passes but that'll come with playing time I think.

Matt DC, Tuesday, 7 January 2020 14:10 (six years ago)

id agree

sissoko out tip april after knee surgery

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 January 2020 17:51 (six years ago)

longshot but maybe this could get Ole the sack if it's in the six nil range
