If Norwich are lucky they'll be so shit for the rest of the season that this game won't be the difference between staying up and not.

fifth place B)

Number None, Saturday, 28 December 2019 21:42 (six years ago)

Now we need the win tomorrow, oh well

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 28 December 2019 22:49 (six years ago)

Knocking out Liverpool would make for a helluva start to the second half

watching those goals again now and honest to god what teams concedes three goals like that

not an ounce of professional pride across that backline and gazzaniga has shown what a limited keeper he is in his recent performances

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Saturday, 28 December 2019 23:00 (six years ago)

what a save foster

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Saturday, 28 December 2019 23:01 (six years ago)

come on Arsenal

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 14:52 (six years ago)

Poor Leno.

Srinivasaraghavan VONCataraghavan (ShariVari), Sunday, 29 December 2019 15:45 (six years ago)

What a collapse.

Srinivasaraghavan VONCataraghavan (ShariVari), Sunday, 29 December 2019 15:47 (six years ago)

Ffs

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 15:50 (six years ago)

I'm surprised Traore didn't start

The World According To.... (Michael B), Sunday, 29 December 2019 16:30 (six years ago)

probably gassed from Thursday's, maybe using him as a super sub....I'm ok with that strategy if we're not down 3 goals by the second half

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 16:33 (six years ago)

I'm a minute lagged so I will post all celebrations one minute late

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 16:34 (six years ago)

This ref is bugging me already

The World According To.... (Michael B), Sunday, 29 December 2019 16:39 (six years ago)

not surprised Wolves haven't been able to find much yet.

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 16:46 (six years ago)

5 mins of VAR nonsense for the bleeding obvious

The World According To.... (Michael B), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:15 (six years ago)

Who was offside?

Srinivasaraghavan VONCataraghavan (ShariVari), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:21 (six years ago)

His hand was offside. Bullshit really

The World According To.... (Michael B), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:21 (six years ago)

Oh dear. In my opinion VAR is not very good.

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:21 (six years ago)

christ almighty

Number None, Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:22 (six years ago)

Wow wtf is this bullshit

the woefullest shirker (NickB), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:22 (six years ago)

since when can a hand be offside if you can't score with it?

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:24 (six years ago)

awful call

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:24 (six years ago)

First time we've started three centre mids in ages, tactic was working imo, Pool starting to fragment a bit in the last 10. Goal was fine and God knows why it needed 5 minutes to look at a picture of it coming off Lallana's shoulder. Offside for ours was A FUCKING CHEATING CUNT DISGRACE

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:25 (six years ago)

it wouldn't be judged on the hand, so I assume it was a toenail

Number None, Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:25 (six years ago)

deserved to be waved off for the celebration

mookieproof, Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:26 (six years ago)

I don't know what the exact ruling is but common sense needs to be applied

The World According To.... (Michael B), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:28 (six years ago)

using Actua Soccer for VAR decisions was a bold choice

Number None, Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:29 (six years ago)

No sound in the pub cos of loud excellent two tone disco but looking at the pics the argument will be his right foot was 2 microns offside

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:30 (six years ago)

yeah, Liverpool's goal was fine. Wolves' being disallowed makes me feel like not watching the rest. I'm going to, but it just sucks the life out of you.

xpost, yeah, a toe. they might as well change the rule back to not allow the attacker to be level with the final defender at this point.

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:30 (six years ago)

hes offside

its bullshit how theyre doing it, but thats , ahem, "in line" with how its been applied all season

obv they should be fuckin strung up but

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:31 (six years ago)

yes

Number None, Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:32 (six years ago)

As soon as I saw the VAR picture I knew he was "offside". Weirdly that didn't mollify my sense of injustice.

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:33 (six years ago)

Been a long time since I've felt like putting a stool thru the big screen in a pub with two thirds Wolves fans where even the Baggies was sympathetic

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:35 (six years ago)

id say every team has had one or two

yeah, its total bollox, idwts

the FA are cunts?

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:36 (six years ago)

the angle the defending player was at makes the 'obviousness' of the offside less so. also not what the intent of the offside rule is.

consistent with how it's been applied all year, but that just exposes how bad VAR has been with offsides this year.

why was it used so well in the 2018 World Cup and so badly this year?

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:38 (six years ago)

Still time to unleash Adama. We can have these.

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:40 (six years ago)

subjective conspiracy theory follows

referees have very regularly and blatantly favoured important marquee clubs in their decisions over the years

VAR, correctly and sensibly applied, makes this impossible

so they apply VAR as stupidly as possible in order to say theyve tried it and it cannot work

Banáná hÉireann (darraghmac), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:43 (six years ago)

and yet

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:45 (six years ago)

Anyone spot the Van Dijk handball in build up to Liverpool’s first goal? The ball clearly bounces up and hits his hand before he plays the ball over the top...VAR? #LIVWOL pic.twitter.com/HZQSEc99yz

i've barely watched much of this game...my fucking roommates are hammering and doing bullshit construction at loud volume like the inconsiderate assholes they always are, and it's made it very hard to focus. one more week with these piles of human garbage.

I'm going to start more actively watching now, that will be the moment the game changes. sign it flip it and sell it.

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:49 (six years ago)

I agree with dazza's VAR conspiracy theory

The World According To.... (Michael B), Sunday, 29 December 2019 17:50 (six years ago)

I know Liverpool are playing rope-a-dope to some extent but we've never not been in this

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 18:01 (six years ago)

this is true. even the goal was just unfortunate

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 18:02 (six years ago)

large man, traore

mookieproof, Sunday, 29 December 2019 18:09 (six years ago)

Two teams ekeing out their resources. Bit gutting to get nothing but good performance really.

Bojo Rabid (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 29 December 2019 18:27 (six years ago)

Lol

𝔠𝔞𝔢𝔨 (caek), Sunday, 29 December 2019 18:30 (six years ago)

yeah, I'm proud of the boys. there were some huffed opportunities but I never expected them to be in the game that long (not due to Wolves' deficiencies but just how good Liverpool is).

convinced Wolves can hang with anybody now. and Boly is back soon.

never expected three points from these two matches and being within a goal of 'Pool.

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 18:32 (six years ago)

Watford in three days. wonder if Nuno is gonna go young for FA Cup match.

can't wait for revenge on 1/23 possibly

looking for Mon in Alderaan places (Neanderthal), Sunday, 29 December 2019 18:33 (six years ago)

oh look all the united fans are suddenly being very quiet about var
