Mourinho ffs

gyac, Wednesday, 20 November 2019 12:36 (six years ago)

xp All true. Which is why Poch should've left last summer, as I've previously said on here. Would've been the best for both parties. For Spurs also because it'd give them time to actually think about a new manager who'd somewhat fit with the squad, playing style, club etc. Ie. anyone except Mourinho.

grateful

My suspicion is that Poch took the defeat to Liverpool very badly indeed and said things he shouldn't have - if that's the case then it at least makes sense. What doesn't make sense is concluding that the solution is Mourinho, which would be like pouring oil on the fire at this point.

The squad is considerably better than the one Mourinho had at United, but Poch has also outperformed Mourinho several times over the last few years on lesser resources.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 20 November 2019 14:09 (six years ago)

only way i can make sense of jose is that he, it can be argued, has excelled with senior players who are driven to win

pochettino, who in most other situations id think a better manager, coach, person etc, seemed to stall at spurs once he had to deal with i dont wanna say grown men but say once the majority of players had a few years under their belts and gotten established.

the effect of kyle walker getting his wages doubled to win trophies by working less hard probably started the rot too. did any significant players sign a contract since?

tbrr at this point you'd be better off appointing Robert Kilroy-Silk

The Man Who Was Thirsty (Noodle Vague), Wednesday, 20 November 2019 15:08 (six years ago)

That Alli pass along the touchline in the second goal was great.

Srinivasaraghavan VONCataraghavan (ShariVari), Saturday, 23 November 2019 13:14 (six years ago)

This is looking very good, though I can’t imagine Pellegrini will see out the week.

Srinivasaraghavan VONCataraghavan (ShariVari), Saturday, 23 November 2019 13:40 (six years ago)

Jordan Pickford LOLverdrive (Neanderthal), Saturday, 23 November 2019 17:00 (six years ago)

Danny Murphy says you're 6th

or something, Saturday, 23 November 2019 23:52 (six years ago)

I heard him, we should be tomorrow night tbf

I'd've been cool if we'd sold Traore in the summer, really fun watching him step up tho he's not the messiah yet

FBPRieu (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 23 November 2019 23:55 (six years ago)

Dele was phenomenal yesterday - absolutely no idea how he could immediately switch into that mode after a year or so in which he appeared to have hit the skids altogether.

Matt DC, Sunday, 24 November 2019 10:26 (six years ago)

Impossible not to find Kante's goal celebration hugely endearing. He looked like the rest of the team had just thrown him a surprise party.

Matt DC, Sunday, 24 November 2019 10:38 (six years ago)

a Phil Jones performance for the ages happening right now

It's OK, we've got the title decider at home to Blades next Sunday

FBPRieu (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 24 November 2019 17:49 (six years ago)

United midfield has about as much presence as the invisible man
