didn't see it, but McCain apparently tried to "gotcha" her by pointing out many BernieBros are toxic on twitter and hoping to bait her into either denying BernieBro toxicity existed (which she sidestepped), or suggest that perhaps Bernie was ok with this kind of supporter, making AOC complicit being that she supports Bernie.

from what I read, she did a nice job of basically saying "it's very difficult to control what's on Twitter" but stating we should never condone toxic, abusive behavior, wherever we see it.

i don't know if she actually drew attention to the fact that Bernie himself decries this behavior, but from the quotes I read it seemed like she gave the best possible responses to disingenuous, bullshit lines of inquiry from McCain.

Seems hard to take that AOC's followers would not trust her judgment about what's the best political move for promoting the progressive agenda. Do they really think she'd be knowingly weakening or undercutting her own position?
