Yeah there’s loads of people I could have included here - she still wouldn’t have won though

I've only just found out that Paul "Guido Fawkes" Staines belongs on this list!

Indeed, worthy omission. He lives there I think.

Interesting how many hideous right wing wankers in the UK have Irish (Catholic) ancestry, the Living Marxism/Spiked crew is riddled with them.

(Just to be on the safe side I checked Dominic McKenzie Cummings - belongs in the Scottish wanker camp).

Margaret Hilda Roberts was born on 13 October 1925, in Grantham, Lincolnshire.[5] Her parents were Alfred Roberts (1892–1970), from Northamptonshire, and Beatrice Ethel Stephenson (1888–1960), from Lincolnshire.[5][6] Her father's maternal grandmother, Catherine Sullivan, was born in County Kerry, Ireland.[7]

I can remember walking past a Tralee Sinn Fein building in the 80's that had posters of Thatcher in a noose with a wanted: dead or alive banner plastered all over the windows. If only they knew she was one of their own!

It's actually as far as back as Murdoch's ancestry I think?
― When Smeato Met Moaty (Tom D.), Saturday, 11 December 2021 20:40 (two years ago) link
The only ones that count for me are first and second generation candidates, all that ancestry.com nonsense doesn't mean that much at all. But this does conveniently segue with my own bullshit about determinedly not being English despite living here since 1973!

Jimmy Carr should have in this poll.

even his Irish dad seems to think he's a twat. He wrote in his book that he moved from Limerick to Slough. His dad wasn't impressed with his bad Irish jokes and disparaging comments about Limerick and also he corrected that they in fact moved from Limerick to South Kensington, which is not Slough.
― calzino, Monday, 24 April 2023 10:28 (one year ago) link
Yes it seems they had a fallout and he hasn't spoken to his dad in years - much to the the relief of the father I assume.

I hate our diaspora SO much. Obscuring actual discrimination in favour of sharing white suprematist talking points, couldn’t be me
I keep seeing these takes about Irish people “not counting” as white in U.S. history and honestly, there is nothing historical about such a claim. The Irish were included in the ‘white’ column of every colonial census going back to Stapleton’s Leeward Islands survey in the 1670s. pic.twitter.com/IViHErffA0— Liam Hogan (@Limerick1914) May 10, 2023

He got two votes in the original poll

Yeah, I saw that, I found it surprising. Compared to most of the other people on the list, he's pretty innocuous.
