Embarrassing goals aside idk if there will be a more emblematic moment than Vertonghen, mid-way towards the half-way line and under no pressure, turning round and realising he couldn’t go back to Gazzaniga because Maupay was in the way and lumping the ball away aimlessly because he couldn’t think of anyone else to pass to.

ShariVari, Saturday, 5 October 2019 12:11 (six years ago)

two goals conceded from three on target, and one good save from gazzaniga (immediate goal from rebound) and you just think, what other team puts up stats like this so consistently over fifteen years and thinks its getting core shit right?

the quality of chance we give up is alarming, even if the stats were only viewed on a laserjet printout read by an earnest postgrad covering nightshift in a distant lab he'd be shaking the professor (bill pullman) awake

seem to recall eric dier a couple of years ago being linked in tabloid speak with a 'big money move to man utd'. now he barely resembles a footballer and doesn't even look good enough for the current utd midfield.

oscar bravo, Saturday, 5 October 2019 12:35 (six years ago)

Spurs can't afford to sack Poch

The World According To.... (Michael B), Saturday, 5 October 2019 12:36 (six years ago)

that link to united stopped dier in his tracks, hes been backwards in development ever since

pochs crowing about it in his book a year later was shitty enough too

is this lad Connolly a wind up merchant or what, im on mbm updates he seems "involved"

too many cuckth thpoil the broth (darraghmac), Saturday, 5 October 2019 12:46 (six years ago)

yeah he's looked good actually

I'm prepared to anoint him as our national saviour

Number None, Saturday, 5 October 2019 12:56 (six years ago)

He’s scored twice now.

ShariVari, Saturday, 5 October 2019 12:57 (six years ago)

hadn't even scored his second on my stream when I typed that :)

Number None, Saturday, 5 October 2019 12:59 (six years ago)

We may have previously inadvertently given the impression that proven Premier league goalscorer Wesley Moraes Ferreira da Silva was an innefectual, lightweight player unsuited to the harsh mental and physical rigours of the English Premier League,

Dadjokke (Sgt. Biscuits), Saturday, 5 October 2019 14:56 (six years ago)

saw the goals. he looks composed but norwich defended like a bunch of music nerds

imago, Saturday, 5 October 2019 15:00 (six years ago)

groovypanda, Saturday, 5 October 2019 15:55 (six years ago)

lilcraigyboi (Craigo Boingo), Saturday, 5 October 2019 16:00 (six years ago)

best day I've had since watford away - last year or was it the year before last? fucking hell just seeing 3-0 on a home result is like snorting crystal mdma for me right now

If you can't catch MOTD tonight, BBC Sport have done an intuitive visual guide to the performance of Wesley Moraes Ferreira Da Silva in today's game

Dadjokke (Sgt. Biscuits), Saturday, 5 October 2019 20:47 (six years ago)

With the greatest respect to the rest of you European Football experts whose teams have their own special thread, the case is closed

Dadjokke (Sgt. Biscuits), Saturday, 5 October 2019 20:52 (six years ago)

Our ceiling remains 15th

Dadjokke (Sgt. Biscuits), Saturday, 5 October 2019 20:53 (six years ago)

When it's pissing down and dark as fuck outside and you're already feeling like shit what you really need is an away game at the Etihad

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 13:07 (six years ago)

And your new striker missing a fucking sitter on 5 minutes

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 13:08 (six years ago)

Fuck me 3 we shd've had on the break

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 13:26 (six years ago)

well apart from the fact that we should be in the lead that was a pretty uplifting first half

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 13:51 (six years ago)

Was just coming here to say yea, disappointing that none of the breakaways resulted in anything. Particularly Jimenez - shoulda just ripped.

I'll take being level at half though. Patricio a nice half.

When I am afraid, I put my toast in you (Neanderthal), Sunday, 6 October 2019 13:52 (six years ago)

you've gotta think we'll suffer for not taking at least one of those chances and it's gonna be more hard work second half but they'll be shook at least

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 13:54 (six years ago)

Hoping for another midfield giveaway to pounce on and then not bottle the finish

When I am afraid, I put my toast in you (Neanderthal), Sunday, 6 October 2019 13:56 (six years ago)

we've missed Jota today, we don't have a ton of options up front without him, be good if Adama could get some more crosses into the box but i think he's likely to get subbed at some point - not his fault, just need a bit more defensive strength on our right wing

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 14:00 (six years ago)

City players getting really pissy now

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 14:23 (six years ago)

Lovely stuff

Dadjokke (Sgt. Biscuits), Sunday, 6 October 2019 14:40 (six years ago)

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 14:41 (six years ago)

What a goal, what an afternoon

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 14:41 (six years ago)

Thought we'd got a sub left, forgot about Saiss going off

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 14:46 (six years ago)

Ederson’s gross, G. Jesus tiresome after only a minute. Unlikeable team

alomar lines, Sunday, 6 October 2019 14:46 (six years ago)

Probably looked a damn fool celebrating in the hotel lobby.

When I am afraid, I put my toast in you (Neanderthal), Sunday, 6 October 2019 15:01 (six years ago)

going out for a dance in the rain

Goose Witherspeen (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 6 October 2019 15:02 (six years ago)

I was doing the same yesterday and we'd only beaten the fookin' Tigers!

calzino, Sunday, 6 October 2019 15:05 (six years ago)

Ya earned that much :)

Nice way to go into the break.

When I am afraid, I put my toast in you (Neanderthal), Sunday, 6 October 2019 15:07 (six years ago)

this game looks like two relegation-battling teams tbh

Number None, Sunday, 6 October 2019 15:53 (six years ago)

It’s worse than the Man United / Arsenal match and doesn’t have the excuse of bad weather.
