the allergy is probably to airports

middle of the country has one of the worst seasonal allergy peaks I've experienced in recent years
hopefully it'll be much better in montreal!

I got tested for allergies recently and only reacted to tree and grass pollen (which should be done by now). Confounding and v annoying.

I was in Montreal a month or so back and while I was gone, ragweed season started back home. Getting off the plane was an instant sneezing thing

My wife just suffered a 5 1/2 hour delay for a 1 1/2 hour flight.

I think I was delayed something like fourteen hours for a flight from Chicago to Des Moines once. It was “just another 45 minutes!” up until there were no more flights for the day and we were bumped to 8am

yesterday someone trying to check thru security with a tree branch in hand. when approached and asked why the guy said it was part of the tree his nephew was found hanging from and he was taking it home to the parents.

did... did they let him take it on the plane

no but they said they'd see if he could recheck his bags to put the branch in, but it was a p long piece of branch so i doubt it fitted i don't know what happened in the end just overheard the initial exchanges and felt bad i heard that much tbh

I’d generally say I would never stoop to wearing perfume found at airports but I am passing through Doha so perhaps they have the good stuff.

I’m going to Bali and afaik there have been no cases of coronavirus at all in Indonesia so far but two thirds of the conference attendees are from Australia and the rest are from various parts of Asia so there is probably a perceived risk much stronger than any actual risk.
