Excited about the prospect of impeachment, even more excited about the prospect of every president from now to the future facing calls of impeachment. Impeachmentum!

Michelle Malkin is probably already writing a book called "The Case for Impeaching (Eventual Democrat President-elect)."

So Rudy went on TV and said he talked to Ukraine at the behest of the State Department? (A day or so after Pompeo professed ignorance of the whole affair?) And even Frettin' Fox n Friends has conceded that "If the president said 'I will give you the money but you've got to investigate Joe Biden,' that is really off-the-rails wrong."

Whatever Trump actually said is probably so meandering and digressive that no one will be able to follow it

It really is so ridiculous to not pursue impeachment because you're worried about the vulnerability of certain house races, if, when you do have or get or secure the house, you do nothing because etc.

Of course, another question is what to do if the fever pitch reaches a peak before the whistleblower report comes out, or even before the (acting!) DNI testifies behind closed doors on Thursday, and the report is inclusive or vague or whatever. I think the Dems should be prepared to go forward anyway, because the president is a criminal, but they'll need to have all their other charges in order, just in case, and that's the only real concern for caution I can see.

This really isn't rocket science for Dems.

You open the hearings, and vote to impeach, all the while continuing to hammer away this point, every day, every hour: that's it's a foregone conclusion the Senate will exonerate.

Just take that supposed "victory" away from them, start framing up the certainty of their failure to convict as part of a cover-up, an abdication of constituitional responsibilty.

Put them in a fucking box. Let them prove you wrong. Jeez.

I realize he's running for president and he's under personal attack, including calls for the electric chair (!), but I kind of wish Joe Biden would just stay silent and let this play out with the people in charge. He's really got nothing to add to the story or investigation right now.

Dick Durbin has at least one right idea. Because the WH refuses to cooperate with anything, from subpoenas on down, what other choice do they have but to launch a formal impeachment investigation?

Happy to hear this. Maybe it is for the best it is getting started now and not several months back. This looks like a more cut and dry issue than anything in the Mueller report. By the time that one came out, the public saw it as “underwhelming.”

Better that impeachment wasn’t already “wrapped up” when this dropped is what I’m saying. Maybe Pelosi is OK.
