I think in this instance it could be right but the other dimension is if pissed off people piling back on her after seeing what was happening. While she may not face the consequences today it will add up.

True. But I wonder if enabling some of her followers -- who are trolls in the old sense of deriving pleasure -- is in effect trolling. That lack of responsibility in the public online space. It's where the meaning could've changed.
