Leslie Jones had an esprit that more than made up for her technical gaffes imo

she is pretty charismatic. I just rewatched Ghostbusters this weekend and it was a lot funnier than I remembered it being.

also I'm biased towards her bc she old (and a woman, and black...)

so Eddie Murphy will be guest hosting this year, and presumably reviving some characters that are almost 40 years old

suddenly "I'm Gumby, dammit" seems like a masterwork in the current context

they are talking about noodles, and according to urban dictionary it's supposed to be saying noodles with an asian accent or a derogatory term for an asian person. I totally overlooked it because of the chink, MSG, dishonest cuisine and ducks in window commentary.

i don't have TV now, but whenever i see a sketch online and watch it (maybe twice a year), it's always the worst thing ever. Adam Driver's gay p0rn bit at least gave me a stiffie.

I only remember the episode where he got gout. He just looks like Bobby Hill and has that 13 yr old 'edginess'.

That gout episode really resonated with me and one friend. We refer to it semi-annually.

Please for the love of god - if you hate SNL and think they haven't had a funny sketch in years (but also haven't watched in years!), just stay out of this thread! I'm not going to pretend that they are always funny, but I almost always find a couple of good laughs in every episode. And go back to whatever you think are the "golden" years and try to watch a whole episode. I'm guessing the batting average has always been pretty similar (low, but not zero). For a live weekly show, that's good enough for me and my quickskip button.
