but this holiday season, one tweet, and one sharpie, are on an adventure of a lifetime, that some people are saying has never been seen before, and it's the dumbest fucking thing you have ever heard of

WASHINGTON — President Trump declared that peace talks with the Taliban were “dead, as far as I’m concerned,” saying he called off a meeting at Camp David after the militant group in Afghanistan killed 12 people, including one American soldier.

Speaking to reporters on Monday as he left for a political rally in North Carolina, Mr. Trump said he did not intend to try to revive efforts to reach a peace accord with the Taliban that could accelerate the removal of American troops from the country.

“They are dead — they are dead. As far as I’m concerned they are dead,” Mr. Trump said of peace talks, accusing the group of the attack that killed an American soldier from Puerto Rico. “You can’t do that. You can’t do that with me. So they are dead as far as I’m concerned.”

i mentioned this a long time ago, i think, but i often wonder how things like this are translated and understood across the world. or, forget translation, how are they understood by someone who doesn't realize that "dead" here means that a project is canceled. because if you don't know that, it sounds like he is just saying that the taliban are all going to die, because you can't do that to trump. so they are going to die. oh well, doot dee doo

haven't really followed the polls lately but I assume they're....not good

One of the greatest and most powerful weapons used by the Fake and Corrupt News Media is the phony Polling Information they put out. Many of these polls are fixed, or worked in such a way that a certain candidate will look good or bad. Internal polling looks great, the best ever!

"Internal polling" = "my bedroom"

I'll still never forget a news clip from the morning of the 1996 election, when it was very clear that Clinton was going to demolish Dole, with Phil Gramm (in whatever capacity he was acting in for the campaign) saying, "We had five polls this morning and they all show us winning."

Best thing he's done this year:

I informed John Bolton last night that his services are no longer needed at the White House. I disagreed strongly with many of his suggestions, as did others in the Administration, and therefore....

But first he has to change his middle name.

Bolton and the Taliban, so much in common.

nashwan, Tuesday, 10 September 2019 16:17 (six years ago)

It's quite possible that Bolton made the mistake of crowing "ha-ha! I told you so!" to Trump, after he broke off talks with the Taliban yesterday and Trump fired him for it.

I guess only one brutish narcissist can coexist with the Grifter

NBC News reports:

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Tuesday that he may annex the Jordan Valley and other parts of the occupied West Bank “in coordination” with the United States — a move that risks shattering the fragile status quo in the volatile region.

“This is a historic opportunity to apply sovereignty to communities in Judea and Samaria,” he told reporters in Jerusalem Tuesday, referring to the West Bank.

“I request a mandate to apply Jewish sovereignty to all communities and I intend to do so in coordination with the United States,” he said, adding that the U.S. would present its long-awaited Israel-Palestinian peace plan a few days after the election.

"If I choose, I will contain Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the northern Dead Sea. This will be the first step if I choose," he said.

His announcement was an apparent last-ditch attempt to attract right-wing voters before Israel heads to the polls in an unprecedented repeat election next week.
