it was rivetting, if only because it would have inconceivable not very long ago.

In all fairness to H he was very public about his support of her, that he donated money to her ‘16 campaign, and that he tried throughout that time to get her on the show. Now that all bets off she agrees...big H should be offended.

I don’t even think of Hillary as a person anymore, she’s spent so many years adjusting her personality to what she thinks will make her more likable. Tragic really

Sorry, she is a person. And I admire her desire to serve the public. But she is uninteresting because of the fact that she’s so amorphous I guess

starting it now...they used zoom, no headphones, the 'core four' -- lots of echo, no compression, H miserable, no phone calls

I grew up w/ Howard and have a real affinity for him and the (old) show, but never followed him to Sirius...

Listening to 40 mins of this podcast and reading the comments is puzzling. Is this the fan consensus now? That Howard's just an asshole? I mean I understand that they're talking about a diagnosable condition but the contempt is strong!

Also...Howard's always been an asshole...like all the behaviors they're describing seem consistent to me w/ those of 35 years ago, the sort of unabashed childishness and selfishnesss etc. that was a part of his appeal to these same people? w/o getting into all the details, did something happen in recent years that shifted? I also don't think I get...are the wack pack et al compelling enough on their own that you'd want to keep listening even while hating the guy?

show was arguably the best it ever was in 06-09, then drifted for a bit when Artie left, and has been on a steady path towards a glossier, more accessible version since at least 2012. there's more celebrity interviews, longer, less improvisational, more serious, and there are hardly any actual callers or spontaneous moments on the show. I stopped listening when he kicked Benjy out of the studio, he was the secret weapon. anyway, a lot of longtime fans have serious vitriol for 'Hampton Howie' because his "evolution" goes against everything he stood for, in their eyes. I don't necessarily agree but the show definitely has gotten worse, or was when I stopped listening almost 4 years ago.

Hadrian the first couple of Sirius years are pretty great, Artie coming into his own. A great entertainer
