that one that always gets me is will saying "august", as in "impressive", the same way as the month

the entire kamala pronunciation thing is something that probably deserves practice but i’ve heard enough variations among people who should know that I can’t care

at this point enough people have mocked them for it that I assume they throw some extras in just to be annoying

I heard three people introduce her last year, heard her speak, and still flub it sometimes

I have a friend who does the “hah, I’m never going to get it” thing after learning a new name once and it irritates me to no end, though

English needs accent marks

I still maintain that Virgil is the worst Chapo, he's constantly killing good riffs with overly earnest "actually, I disagree" moments

I've done a 180 on that opinion

seeing them live, he's more of a quiet moderating influence and kind of pushes things back on track as necessary

Virgil is best when balanced by Felix.

I love that the Chapo subreddit is now just an unofficial Trillbillies subreddit. (I became a patron a few weeks back.)

Michael Brooks (and to a lesser extent, the Majority Report) has p much replaced Chapo for me. none of the insufferable nerdiness, seems more knowledgeable, they're funny/not self-serious, and they're really good broadcasters and speakers, Brooks in particular.

yeah, I also prefer Brooks/MR to Chapo. I've never understood the lack of interest around here. I guess people find Sam Seder annoying.
