I totally believe Epstein took his own life, considering the crimes he's charged with and having been abandoned by his powerful friends on both sides, with basically no chance at this point that any one of them would step forward to give him an assist, and with the prospect of being paraded out for a lengthy and humiliating trial...it makes sense. Aaron Hernandez had just been acquitted of a double homicide and was iirc in the process of working towards an appeal of his first homicide conviction, and he killed himself. OJ was *perhaps* on the cusp of killing himself when he thought it was curtains for him, didn't follow through, and wound up getting away with it and seems to have not really had other suicidal inclinations since then. i don't know, very different examples i guess. but similar in some ways. A lifetime spent in prison or just the probability of it, let alone one's reputation being permanently destroyed, or simply losing everything, all of that does things to people. i also imagine he had been living a psychologically fraught existence ever since he began to realize he might wind up actually paying for it after getting away with it for so long.

I'm willing to give Epstein enough of a superiority complex that when he saw no logical way out, especially after Friday's document dump of names, he exercised the "they'll never take me alive" option. I'm also willing to give the guards/BOP enough built-up disdain for this worthless piece of shit that the faster he's out of the system the better.

If you think it's "not exactly media literate" to not give equal weight to the foster the people dude then w/e, i dunno what to tell you.

The twitter account isn't even verified, you honestly don't know at all who made it. I also assume it's all legit, but none of us knows. That's what I'm saying wrt literacy. Defeating conspiracies means finding information from trust-worthy sources (and making notice when sources turn out to be not trustworthy at all) not looking at a twitter thread that seems to know what it says, and then being mad at other people.
