Are people in the GOP retiring because they don't think they can change anything inside the party?
I'm assuming shrinking to fit the orthodoxy of Trump enabling if that is what is happening may also be shrinking the voting base to some degree.
Not great anyway, if it means that GOP progressively loses an ability to correct itself. Though whatever currently represents GOP probably thinks it's perfectly right already and the rest of the country needs to get in line with it.

Inertia is a powerful force. Honestly, it's fine. I go in every 3-4 months, she tells me I'm soft and out of shape (which I know) and that I eat like shit (which I know) and asks me if I need any of my prescriptions refilled, and I give her $150 'cause she doesn't take my insurance.

I ditched my doctor after coming to him for 7 years and getting the same “you’re young, don’t worry about it” from him well into my 40s.

My doctor now is a millennial who will tell me exactly what she thinks is my ailment and what the treatment is, if any.
