I thought I heard that the 18 year old facing deportation actually had various other forms of i.d. on him at the time, or is taht another case of false deportation? Story I was hearing was that he was on the way to a football championship and showed papers that the authorities claimed to be forged.

In the NYMag article his lawyer says that "Galicia was carrying several types of identification when he was stopped at the checkpoint, “including a wallet-sized Texas birth certificate, a Texas ID card and Social Security card.” So someone is being inaccurate.
