That sounds really good, I bet it would be even better hot

hot vs Cold poll ?

calstars, Monday, 1 July 2019 20:56 (six years ago)

i like both hot and cold coffee! you don't have to choose

overall i usually get regular hot coffee but the other day i went for a run in the morning and it's usually my habit to walk into the coffee shop at the end of my route and it was just too crazy hot and humid to get hot coffee after a run

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 1 July 2019 20:58 (six years ago)

vietnamese iced coffee is so good, even if it's sometimes a little heavy on the condensed milk

it's also the secret cultural crossover point when it's made with cafe du monde brand coffee

mh, Monday, 1 July 2019 21:05 (six years ago)

I only really enjoy regular hot coffee first thing in the morning. After that I prefer espresso or cold brew. Those seem to be not as heavy.

o. nate, Monday, 1 July 2019 21:20 (six years ago)

I assume I hate hot coffee the same reason I don't like soup. Like, what is the point?!? I do like cold soup (gazpacho) and hot tea though.

Yerac, Monday, 1 July 2019 21:45 (six years ago)

If cost wasn’t an issue I’d order a cap every time. But I’m cheap as f so a hot drip with a share of whole will have to serve to get me half the way there

calstars, Monday, 1 July 2019 21:45 (six years ago)

I was annoyed when I had to get starbucks today after a flight and they didn't have just regular iced coffee but instead overpriced cold brew.

Yerac, Monday, 1 July 2019 21:48 (six years ago)

I remember one time I bought a panini for breakfast while hungover and jetlagged in DC - I asked for an espresso and the girl at the counter asked small/medium/large so I thought OK, large I guess, then watched in delighted, horrified amazement as she packed and poured SEVEN SHOTS into a paper cup. Damn it was good.

drinking some cold brew w coconut creamer, not because i dont do dairy because it taste good

lag∞n, Tuesday, 2 July 2019 15:44 (six years ago)

The NYT has a piece today about cold brew vs iced coffee with the author lamenting at the end that he was at an airport starbucks and they ran out of cold brew and he had to make do with iced coffee. Now I am wondering if Bobby Finger is my archnemesis considering the post I made yesterday.

Yerac, Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:10 (six years ago)

fool should've ordered regular espresso over ice

marcos, Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:12 (six years ago)

i am in agreement with mr finger

VAR me to the end of yawn (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:12 (six years ago)

xp. i don't like espresso over ice either

VAR me to the end of yawn (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:12 (six years ago)

I just like black iced coffee at a reasonable price if I have to buy it out.

Yerac, Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:20 (six years ago)

I have my huge ass silicon ice cube trays with me in France right now.

Yerac, Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:20 (six years ago)

i am also cheap with my coffee drinking and basically eschew starbucks for that reason. i will go to a bougie 3rd wave coffee shop once in a while as a treat, but generally if I'm drinking coffee out it's bad, cheap coffee.

but i like cold brew and dislike iced coffee

VAR me to the end of yawn (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:22 (six years ago)

yeah we end up having to go to starbucks when we travel because my partner needs to have a reliable soy milk presence ( I need a reliable ice presence). It's gotten so much better this last decade though.

Yerac, Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:24 (six years ago)

I really really love that Japan has iced cans of coffee black, unsweetened in vending machines everywhere. It's my dream. And then the convenience stores have the little single servings of soy milk. They understand perfection.

Yerac, Tuesday, 2 July 2019 17:27 (six years ago)

Japan canned coffee culture is awesome

calstars, Tuesday, 2 July 2019 22:12 (six years ago)

what is the best japanese canned coffee

president of deluded fruitcakes anonymous (silby), Tuesday, 2 July 2019 22:15 (six years ago)

What I find exceedingly vexing about Japanese canned coffee is that there is no coffee with milk that is also sugar free, not a single one.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Tuesday, 2 July 2019 23:15 (six years ago)

Another vexing thing about Japanese coffee is a lot of good coffee places don’t open until lunchtime, sometimes even mid afternoon.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Tuesday, 2 July 2019 23:16 (six years ago)

Delice de France syphon coffee is surprisingly good though.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Tuesday, 2 July 2019 23:22 (six years ago)

I bought a frozen cappuccino slushy drink at the convenience store today and then poured it into a normal coffee at work

president of deluded fruitcakes anonymous (silby), Wednesday, 3 July 2019 16:04 (six years ago)

We sell coffee at our shop now. I had been begging the boss to do it for ages.

nathom, Wednesday, 3 July 2019 16:53 (six years ago)

i was kind of worried about it at first - i could 'feel my heart' as a muscle sort of - but it's really nice i'm kind of just going to go with it

flappy bird, Wednesday, 3 July 2019 22:19 (six years ago)

two months pass...

i'm looking for a new travel mug and can't find all the attributes i want in one. must be microwaveable, for starters.

forensic plumber (harbl), Saturday, 14 September 2019 14:15 (six years ago)

Probably you want a glass one with a sleeve you can slide off

president of deluded fruitcakes anonymous (silby), Saturday, 14 September 2019 14:27 (six years ago)

wow

Question: How long does coffee stay hot?
Answer: Coffee stays horrible for two maximum

forensic plumber (harbl), Saturday, 14 September 2019 14:38 (six years ago)

Can a straw be used with this cup?
Answer: Thank you for your question.
Of course it is. But you need to pay attention to the diameter of the straw, and the width of the mouth is 0.196inch/5mm.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us, we are glad to assit you.

forensic plumber (harbl), Saturday, 14 September 2019 14:38 (six years ago)

glass keep cup?

Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Saturday, 14 September 2019 15:55 (six years ago)

are those things actually good? they look kind of bad. i'm suspicious.

forensic plumber (harbl), Saturday, 14 September 2019 16:17 (six years ago)

i like mine. with a rubber grip rather than cork (according to Ed the cork can be hard to clean). you can get a double-walled one.

Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Saturday, 14 September 2019 16:26 (six years ago)

theyre cute

lag∞n, Saturday, 14 September 2019 17:12 (six years ago)

that is quite small

fremmes with neppavenettes (rip van wanko), Saturday, 14 September 2019 18:49 (six years ago)

Big fan of my keep cup. If you are looking for an insulated mug that keeps coffee hot for a long time this isn’t it. It’s more of a disposable espresso drinks cup. If I were in a the market for a insulated bu type thing I’d get one of the Chinese/Japanese bottle style ones. Kinto makes a good one, I bought my brother one for Xmas a few years back and he loves one. I was just in a Japanese kitchen things store and the T-Fal ones look great. Good spring loaded flippy lid.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Sunday, 15 September 2019 04:22 (six years ago)

What is now my daily coffee place in Sapporo does a great drip coffee service. Pick up your own stainless steel Insulated coffee bottle filled with coffee to your liking, (beans of choice, hot, iced, milk sugar, whatever) every morning as you pass by, drop it back on your way home and settle up once a week.

American Fear of Pranksterism (Ed), Sunday, 15 September 2019 04:25 (six years ago)

holy utopia batman

Squeaky Fromage (VegemiteGrrl), Sunday, 15 September 2019 04:35 (six years ago)

I teach early this semester and realized that neither my aeropress nor my pourover thing fit the mouth of my insulated travel mug so I have to make coffee in some other vessel and pour it in which makes me irrationally angry
