I liked the movie I saw last night and went on letterboxd and one person I follow gave it 5 stars and one gave it 1 star, nobody knows what's good and what's bad

no, more like when someone fucks up and everyone feels the need to pick over it for days on end like it's some kind of juicy drama instead of another tedious fuckup of no lasting consequence - this is in contrast to when Trump (or a number of other powerful people) fucks up, which is barely even noted now.

some of the assholes are so grotesque and absurd that while recognizing the toxicity of the situation i kinda find them hilarious and fascinating

the twitter left obvs selects its enemies for entertainment value, going to war w bizarre ppl no one but them and a few under socialized gamer teens has ever heard of

like someone posted laura loomers patreon the other day and she was making $800 a/month, not exactly a media star, but on the other hand she does completely pitiful ridiculous stunts constantly so i can understand the urge to rubberneck

what is this trend of guilt-tripping people into donating money to their cashapp/venmo accounts? i'm seeing this more and more, usually in the context of social justice issues but it's kind of annoying tbh

Whenever I follow a link from ILX to a political tweet and do a bit of scrolling down into the replies, I get the definite impression that Twitter is still rife with bots and Russian trolls.

i've long suspected that there's a group of people in a discord somewhere writing up all those r/relationship posts that are on the edge of believability

i finally got forced onto the new desktop layout and it just doesn't function at all, my login cookie doesn't log me in half the time i click a link to a tweet from an external site, and a bunch of former QoL features are missing or obscured like the 'translate this tweet' requires an additional click to make appear now and sometimes just doesn't appear at all

it's clearly just a half-assed port of the mobile UI
