I'm really glad Edd has survived this long, and they've kept him around -- he was one of my fave characters from the books

It also continues to be absolutely amazing to watch Sean Bean perform all roles simultaneously using hand puppets, mannequins rigged into an intricate system of pulleys and levers, etc. A true tour de force

He was incredibly good as the beans being eaten in the last ep, although it was a little too on-the-nose, casting wise.

sunday. bran is in the godswood. white walkers breach the walls, begin full scale assault towards bran. theon throws himself in front of white's spear, is impaled--bran goes catatonic. time slows to a freeze. smash cut--it's george rr martin at his apple 2e. his eyes go white, and he begins to type furiously. bran has warged into george, and finishes the remaining books. the picture dissolves into a release date. 4/29/2019.

what i wouldn't give for a total wholesale massacre of literally every character in the first fifteen minutes of the next episode, to be followed by 45 minutes and the next four episodes just showing zombies walking around aimlessly

OK this last episode was wall-to-wall fanservice and I LOVED it. (The only thing missing would've been the notable omission from ASOS, but that shipped sailed ages ago.)

Night King coming after Bran next week seems a lock now which is a shame because seeing him fly south, lay waste to KL and the Golden Company before reanimating their armoured corpses would be fun. Or maybe that's for episode 4 but not including Cersei two weeks in a row seems wrong too.

It just struck me that NK would know that King's Landing existed because they brought a living fucking white walker there.

It’s occurred to me that with all that dragonglass hanging around Winterfell there’s the potential for them to Do A Benjen on any character who is Got and save them from becoming a total zombie.

I guess I don't really understand how uncle Benjen came to be

the children of the forest shoved some dragonstone in his chest to stop him turning evil so now he's just undead. Not sure why no-one has come up with dragonstone implants for the human army yet but maybe that's to come.

I assumed the whole Benjen thing was a "children of the forest can do real magic" thing where they can do things the humans can't

Then again, Cersei's mad scientist maester guy made the Mountain into whatever the hell he is now, so maybe they don't have an exclusive claim.

The one thing (aside from Cersei dying) that is absolutely 100% guaranteed to happen is that Yara will turn up with the Iron Fleet right in the nick of time.

Thoros and Melisandre did the same thing i.e. be priests of the LoL and pray a lot
