to me yvie's beefs with both vanjie and silky stem from remarks that were basically just like "im giving an unserious answer to the reality show gambit of stirring drama by asking who should go home" yet lo and behold the drama was stirred!

as far as yvie goes there's this specific thing in reality shows where the person is like "i'm sorry but i'm just telling it like it is!" which usually is just code for "i'm being a rude asshole". that of course is always one's prerogative but you can't really go thru life that way

yeah i think i would have flipped like vanjie too if i had to go through days of yvie’s “observational advice”

for all Brooke Lynn seems to be winning lots of challenges and doing very well I continually forget that she is even there.

If you ever needed proof that this show is beholden to its own history its the fact they persist with Snatch Game every season despite the fact it hasn't provided any genuine entertainment for a good few years now

this week's challenge seemed designed for Nina West, and that group's act showed again that the queens themselves are able to come up with scripts better than the ones provided by the production team for the acting challenges. I also thought Shuga did much better in the lipsynch and really shouldn't have been up for elimination anyway.

I didn’t even have big problems with shuga’s runway looks other than the reveals should’ve crescendoed instead of just being one B+ look after another.

This week def should’ve been Vangie vs. Silky, but they clearly aren’t ready to send Vangie home, tho her fan favorite status has certainly attained some tarnish from the “failing to live up to expectation” edit.

Brooke Lynn seems like she was made in a lab, the product of years of research into "how to win at Drag Race". I find her inspiring like I find an athlete inspiring, i.e. I really like her and want her to win. I like her even more after watching Untucked, sipping her drink with raised eyebrows and staying out of the drama entirely

i thought Vanjie’s lipsync was great.

Akeria’s kaf-pants made me lol.

i know they want to keep Silky around but jeez, at least Vanjie & Shuga can hold a look together with more than Silky’s wing & a prayer. her janky hip pads in the main challenge was like O_o.

and the way Silky stared down the judges when they told her she was safe....your time is coming

I get why the judges like Silky more than Vanjie, but I don't think it's fair of them to have a go at Vanjie for not showing any range when Silky doesn't either.

I really enjoyed Nina and Shuga and Brooke Lynn's show. I would watch them do a Tommy Cooper-style magic show.

I also laughed at Ross's critique of the various kaftans.

neither her nor vanjie are going to win so i don't really think it's here or there either way... you could understand why they'd rather keep vanjie around

shuga's main role in the season seemed to be saying stuff in confessionals like "we walked into the room and there was a magician in there honey"

silky is extremely endearing and personally speaking i find it endearing that she seems insistent on sabotaging her success by being lazy

er... silky is extremely funny

i foundher v enjoyable early on but her pettiness is v unappealing to me

this whole season feels the most lackluster, like 10 episodes in and I still feel like I'm not really connecting with any of these queens, I barely even have a sense of who Shuga is
however that magic challenge was prob the most enjoyable challenge I've seen in the past several seasons

Vanjie made me cry with her lipsync. God that was beautiful. I still don't love this season but the lipsyncs have been epic.

Really really hoping that Nina can win this, but am afraid that they're going to give it to Brooke Lynn instead.

Brooke Lynn of course should win and is farrrrr more of an obvious front runner and staying power etc than Aquaria and I love Aquaria. I haven’t felt so sure of a front runner since Bianca tbh

those boot covers on Nina & Shuga were so weirdly chunky! made their lower legs look like they were in plaster casts

and the actual look on both of them reminded me of when Robin Williams dressed up as a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader :(

that was a bizarre challenge.. of all the makeover challenges it was by far the least interesting & they didn't even make them choreograph a performance or anything. if the challenge had called for that there's no way nina would've been lip syncing even w that outfit, which was truly god awful.... her understanding of proportion seems really off.

brooke lynn seems like the obvious favorite but she would be a pretty similar winner to aquaria and i always feel like each year's winner is in some way a reaction against the previous one. personally i think they've been laying the groundwork for yvie to win (the vixen walked so yvie could run)

That Branjie situation was so inevitable but what a great lip synch and that exit is probably my favourite ever from any series.

I know when you watch reality tv shows like this there is always a narrative being constructed from the editing but the obviousness of it has been a huge problem this cycle.
