I was thinking the month of December for the holidays, but I guess that is far off. I think my spouse would get mildly worried if I rewatched it right after we finished.

the first half of season three is exactly as wonderful as i remembered. i know this show is stylistic overflow all the time but the dialogue is straight up beautiful writing at this point

also the abigail fake-out got me all over again

I finally finished Wondefalls yesterday. I was meh on it, although the xtc theme is very good. And Alana is good in it.

i think most people agree with you but i think the quality is maintained throughout

it's not like the adaptation of red dragon isn't also an inside-out dreamscape

I am very much looking forward to luxuriating in it instead of being like 'wtf (giggle)' the entire time on first viewing.

I am kind of glad I had no clue what the deal was with any character or what any of the framing was about.

my issue w/ the back half of s3 is that the RD himself was no more compelling than any of the single-serving baddies from seasons past (also I've never been that fond of the finale tbh)

the red dragon himself was pretty silly. But it didn't bother me.

the finale is SO awesome

i've read and seen both film adaptations of red dragon so i'll always find that story compelling. i guess armitage is no tom noonan but who is (and i still think he does pretty well)

I used to rep for Wonderfalls pretty hard, but last time I watched I had to admit it hasn't aged well. It does have a good premise, a mostly great cast, and a few stand-out eps, plus I think the second season could have been excellent. I wish Dhavernas had gotten more work.

yeah, I remember seeing one episode when it was on tv and thinking it was something I would really like but as I was watching it this month (all episodes on youtube), it felt very dated.

yeah, but the possibility of it and inaccessibility to the material is a large part of what shut down a hannibal season 4 iirc
