fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Monday, 8 April 2019 19:08 (seven years ago)

Rory in the best run of sustained all round good golf that I can remember from him. Justin Thomas looked really good early season but has tailed off during the Florida swing. Think either Molinari or Shauffele have a really good chance. Now that Sergio has a green jacket I'll be rooting for Kiradech Aphibarnrat and his wonderfully old fashioned golf swing. P sure that whatever happens I won't see a swing as perfect as the one Jin Young Ko just won the ANA with this weekend or a -5 finish over the last 6 holes to close out the tournament at augusta national like the one Jennifer Kucho produced to win the women's amateur on Saturday.

nice, very still swing, not a lot of motion

Anyone watching? There have been some lovely underdog stories at the top of the leaderboard so far. Canadian Corey Conners finished on -2. From the BBC:

played in the Masters as an amateur four years ago, won the Texas Open to earn his place in the locker room this week - after surviving a six-man play-off just to get into the field and then making 10 birdies in the final round.

Justin Harding (South African, first time at Masters) on -4. I know these early leaders usually drop away over the weekend, but I still like to imagine that someone totally unexpected will excel.

yeah been tuned in for sure. matsuyama and couples looking to miss the cut :(

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 11 April 2019 18:25 (seven years ago)

It is so unpredictable... I always want Matsuyama to do well in the majors, but he usually falls away on the last day.

Bryson DeChambeau for me

What an insane shot! Does anyone ever play it like that for real?

alrakis morissette (tangenttangent), Thursday, 11 April 2019 19:05 (seven years ago)

Ty Ty folks

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Thursday, 11 April 2019 19:05 (seven years ago)

the margin for error is too thin. he could hit a normal shot from there much easier

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 11 April 2019 19:06 (seven years ago)

that's unreal

findom haddie (jim in vancouver), Thursday, 11 April 2019 19:07 (seven years ago)

True, but I reckon Spieth at the top of his game would have the nerve to pull it off anyway (not that he is of that temperament).

alrakis morissette (tangenttangent), Thursday, 11 April 2019 19:08 (seven years ago)

i mean i could see someone doing it if they were out of contention but you'd never see it otherwise i wouldnt think

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 11 April 2019 19:09 (seven years ago)

Cricfree is okay if you watch with an adblocker and test all the streams. One of them always gets working after a while.

alrakis morissette (tangenttangent), Thursday, 11 April 2019 19:39 (seven years ago)

Never mind the golf, am getting a good stream of the Arsenal Napoli game off cric, thanks Number None

Good luck!

Jason Day wins best dressed. Spieth's Bassetts Allsorts and Rickie's camo a close second.

brooks is rolling

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 11 April 2019 22:03 (seven years ago)

He seems to absolutely thrive under the spotlight. I hope he stays the course!

alrakis morissette (tangenttangent), Thursday, 11 April 2019 22:14 (seven years ago)

brooks is such a stone cold killer down the stretch of majors. some of the up and downs he made on the back 9 at shinnecock last year were insane. made me really happy to see ariya jutanagarn, the womens #1, following kiradech around yesterday. thailand represent!!

kinda love sergio's swing tbh such an extreme transition from vertical to horizontal shaft on the downswing, ridiculous amount of lag, only trouble is when someone unathletic and untalented like me tries to replicate it and ends up blocking the ball 30 yards right!

nice to see tangent's boy handily placed. casey shooting 81 was a big shock to me, thought him and adam scott would both do well, at least scotty didn't let me down.

oscar bravo, Friday, 12 April 2019 15:54 (seven years ago)

Casey’s round was rouuuggggh

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 12 April 2019 15:59 (seven years ago)

Sergio makes it work obv but I just don’t like watching it. Feel the same about Dustin Johnsons

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 12 April 2019 16:01 (seven years ago)

sandy lyle shooting the same score as rory is so lol. only at the masters. langer shooting -1 not even a surprise at this point. no way jason day is still on the tour at 40 imo let alone making it to the seniors.

oscar bravo, Friday, 12 April 2019 16:07 (seven years ago)

That was hard to watch him play in so much discomfort yesterday

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Friday, 12 April 2019 16:14 (seven years ago)

oscar bravo, you're fka pandemic right? if so i still haven't properly apologised for ludicrous treatment before, and glad you're back

imago, Friday, 12 April 2019 16:15 (seven years ago)

lol my interests are as limited as ever :) don't worry about it i'm probably annoying enthusiastic about a couple of things that nobody i know in irl has any interest in ie football and golf so ilx probably got the brunt of it back then. no hard feelings. joe gomez has made up for everything;)

oscar bravo, Friday, 12 April 2019 16:23 (seven years ago)

excellent! :) that is an actual weight off my conscience. you may scorn any future leicester city champions league run with absolute impunity haha

imago, Friday, 12 April 2019 16:26 (seven years ago)

and yeah, watching jason day lean on his putter to get a ball out of the hole was p much when we turned the stream off last night, poor bloke

imago, Friday, 12 April 2019 16:28 (seven years ago)

and he's leading. this would be an all-time performance if he wins it

imago, Friday, 12 April 2019 20:30 (seven years ago)

pandemic u fucker get back on ilf

fremme nette his simplicitte (darraghmac), Friday, 12 April 2019 21:11 (seven years ago)

I only have battery enough to check the poll - hope nothing changes in the leaderboard today.

Welcome back pandemic/Oscar!!

finau-birdie,birdie,birdie,par,par,birdie,birdie,eagle. -7 thru 8 holes on the day

oscar bravo, Saturday, 13 April 2019 19:00 (seven years ago)

adam scott's iron play was droolworthy yesterday

oscar bravo, Saturday, 13 April 2019 19:01 (seven years ago)

oops correction delete one of finau's birdies -6 not -7 today .
loser.
