Not passing it would mean just overrunning the Apr 12th deadline though?

Is passing the WA today really the last chance to secure a possible extension to May 22th? Or is it gov shenanigans?

I think the UK has got a guaranteed extension to then if the WA passes today - after that it's coming up with a plan in the next two weeks, which if it isn't no deal or revocation, will need a long extension.

Or of course May could pass it next week and go back cap-in-hand to ask for a short extension, just enough to fuck up the EU elections - if there's any loose ends at all then Macron has been giving the impression that he'd rather no deal than any more extensions. He may just be playing bad cop, but I think it'd be a mistake to underestimate the amount that the EU is tired of the UK by now.

EU def completely tired of the UK/Tory gov, though I'm not sure Macron or anyone else would want to be the one triggering no-deal and be held responsible for any fall-out (economic or otherwise) following that. No yet, anyway.

Government will legislate to ensure MPs can set negotiating mandate for next phase of Brexit, Cox says

Cox says there will be new mechanism introduced that will ensure the Commons is consulted on the next phase of the negotiation.

He says the government would have accepted the Gareth Snell amendment had it been called.

Snell asks Cox for an assurance that the EU withdrawal agreement bill will contain the legislative proposals in the amendment.

Cox says the bill has not been published yet, but if Snell bring backs his plans as an amendment to that bill, the government will be “minded to accept”.
