might revise that one by the end of March tho. But we play a right load of duds!

Fulham were cooked in October.

I dunno
If we sold Dier to any of the likely bidders (either Manchester club really) for any less it would seem pointless. English, gives them that in their squad in a player worth having, young, couple of positions, we don't need to sell and are in a position where we're probably much more focused on consolidation.
The 4bn pot has kicked things on again also, so the above spurs special conditions are exacerbated by the overall madness

Like, and I think I've said this, but the market as it is makes me look at the quoted prices for walker, rose, ah the fuckin lot, and it feels like pre crash Dublin 6 where the only sensible option is to sell sell sell, pay off all debts, promote from youth, stay in the division and buy em all back including bale, modric and thudd for a combined 30m when the footballing world ends in 2019

Dire from Sanchez but the last few minutes have been promising.Dembele would have been really handy today.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 2 March 2019 13:02 (seven years ago)
i think actually its really good how we get sissoko and trippier to pass it between themselves all game actually

blud i aint even
Our midfield is manifestly not up to a game like this and Arsenal's defence appear entirely comfortable with all these Trippier crosses. Do something else FFS.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 2 March 2019 13:46 (seven years ago)
Sanchez played a dodgy back pass to an oncoming Lloris and you just felt the entire stadium inwardly shriek.

I don't care about kiss of death now, this season's been so good already. Would love to put these cunts to the sword today
― See me in mi heels an' tinge (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 2 March 2019 15:23 (seven years ago)
Utd deservedly behind. Been crap since the first five minutes
― Number None, Saturday, 2 March 2019 15:28 (seven years ago)
we've still got the same predictability in the final 3rd, but Siewart has got them playing like continuity early Wagner, god bless 'im.

― kolarov spring (NickB), Saturday, 2 March 2019 17:16 (seven years ago)
he had a poor first half, but he was pushed up the field when Dalot came on (after another shocking display from Sanchez) and it made a big difference. Set up Lukaku's first too
― Number None, Saturday, 2 March 2019 17:19 (seven years ago)
I saw the second half and all the goals were good

Yeah NN that Utd game had it all alright. 2 stonewall penos that should've went Southampton's way and an offside goal from Lukaku
― . (Michael B), Saturday, 2 March 2019 23:03 (seven years ago)
Yeah it was great wasn't it
― Number None, Saturday, 2 March 2019 23:21 (seven years ago)
cant call a fraction of a knee offside imo, benefit to attacker every time
― god knows i want to fp (darraghmac), Saturday, 2 March 2019 23:25 (seven years ago)
I'd agree even if it didn't benefit Utd
Smalling gets away with at least one blatant shirt pull in the box every game. I don't like it, but it seems to work for him
Young is just a disaster but Dalot seems to be coming along well so hopefully he can be phased out soon
― Number None, Saturday, 2 March 2019 23:30 (seven years ago)
anyway i know i harp on about the guy but that young tackle that gave away the equaliser fk....its not that it wasnt almost a 50/50 in terms of them both flying in but i mean....how close was he to following through to head height, or did i just see some funny angles?
the guy is going to hurt someone badly before he gets put out to pasture, reckless aggression is covering (somewhat) his deficiencies as a defender

― FernandoHierro, Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:13 (seven years ago)
pretty shocking stuff from Liverpool really. They don't have a midfield, and if the front three aren't firing there's just nothing there
They've been bad more than they've been good this season tbh
― Number None, Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:16 (seven years ago)
A team challenging for titles on the basis of a good defence and a few hardworking cloggers in midfield - what a new and rare thing.
― FernandoHierro, Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:19 (seven years ago)
that's not really the narrative though is it

― imago, Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:25 (seven years ago)
I feel fairly relaxed about it to be honest - they weren't going to win every game from a point ahead just as they prob don't even need to win every game from a point behind. Form could be better but we'll see how it goes.
― FernandoHierro, Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:26 (seven years ago)
nothing but good feelings here
It's pretty great being a Utd fan at the moment

I was just trying to give you a pleasant nostalgia for the Fergie days!
― FernandoHierro, Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:28 (seven years ago)
Tbh and this is cliche really - the huge overreaction at the end of the match is fairly ridiculous. Like "a disastrous blow" etc - even the raging about the performance from fans - Liverpool had enough good chances to win 3-0. The points tally and season so far is hard to question.
― FernandoHierro, Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:33 (seven years ago)
Just looking at the remaining fixtures and Liverpool have a bunch of matches coming up against some poor sides- Cardiff, Huddersfield, Newcastle and Spurs
― kolarov spring (NickB), Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:55 (seven years ago)
yes
― god knows i want to fp (darraghmac), Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:57 (seven years ago)
I do think our run-in is slightly more favourable. There are nine games to go, who fucking knows. Alexander Ocasio-Chamberlain should make a difference too, he's playing in the reserves this week.
― FernandoHierro, Sunday, 3 March 2019 18:58 (seven years ago)
Southampton are being very obliging but we're a completely different and more purposeful team with Dele in it.
― Matt DC, Saturday, 9 March 2019 15:19 (seven years ago)
Southampton now winning. Genuinely can’t see a top four finish.
