Amazing. Under normal circumstances surely a huddle of Chelsea players would've dragged him off no?
― Uptown VONC (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 24 February 2019 20:26 (seven years ago)
i wish a huddle of somebody would drag Chris Sutton off

for posterity:
๐ณ - Have you EVER seen anything like it!?Maurizio Sarri tries to substitute Kepa Arrizabalaga for Willy Caballero, but Kepa refuses to come off and Sarri is absolutely FURIOUS! ๐ก pic.twitter.com/Q81v6ry3Kk— Sky Sports Football (@SkyFootball) February 24, 2019
― Uptown VONC (Le Bateau Ivre), Sunday, 24 February 2019 20:31 (seven years ago)
i think player power is more a question of realpolitik than professional ethics nowadays but on the other hand Sarri should have twatted the cunt by way of a resignation letter
― See me in mi heels an' tinge (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 24 February 2019 20:34 (seven years ago)
Maurizio Sarri says the Kepa substitution confusion was 'a big misunderstanding' because he thought the player had cramp. However he says Kepa was right that he could continue although the way he went about it was wrong. Sarri says he needs to talk to Kepa now. #CHEMCI— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) February 24, 2019
― groovypanda, Sunday, 24 February 2019 20:41 (seven years ago)
lol.
Such a pity Sarri didn't just walk off, as he intended to do, but then he remembered all that money.

Good luck finding a new manager when you can't sign any players for two transfer windows and there are obvious deficiencies in the squad.
― Matt DC, Monday, 25 February 2019 12:48 (seven years ago)
Rodgers IN

Good. Maybe Celtic can go for Wagner.

Don't worry NV we are just having 90 minute training sessions in this extended pre-season for 19/20 in the champo, normal bogey-side rules don't apply any more.
Wagner for Rodgers would be a fucking massive upgrade imo.

(xp) Indeed, sadly it looks like Lennon might take over till the end of the season, so expect UN peacekeepers to required for any Old Firm matches scheduled for the rest of the season.
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 13:52 (seven years ago)
Feels like the league has moved on a very long way from Rodgersball in the last few years. Looking forward to the Sturridge-Vardy dream team upfront though.
― Matt DC, Tuesday, 26 February 2019 14:02 (seven years ago)
a debut for an academy kid at RB, Mooy on the bench, two up front including our recent L1 signing. Might as well try different players/formations out at this stage and at least Siewart has noticed Hadj is stealing a wage, cos poor DW seemed oblivious to how badly he was performing.
― calzino, Tuesday, 26 February 2019 19:08 (seven years ago)

― god knows i want to fp (darraghmac), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 19:13 (seven years ago)
why would you give up the chance to win the treble-treble for the job at leicester
― PaulDananVEVO (||||||||), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 19:47 (seven years ago)
They've got far more money than Celtic, for a start.
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 19:59 (seven years ago)
we were always going to be a stepping stone for Rodgers, and he was unlikely to do any better than mid-table when coming back to the prem - hard to launder your reputation that much by doing well in Scotland, especially with the relative resources of Celtic vs the rest up there - lot of the Celtic fans are in disbelief though, and he's probably rendered himself an enduring hate-figure.
― ( อกโ อส อกโ) (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 20:05 (seven years ago)
rude-awakening to those in Scotland who haven't accepted that we're closer to being on par, in terms of resources, with championship sides, at best
― ( อกโ อส อกโ) (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 20:06 (seven years ago)
thought they'd be glad to see the back of the narcissistic creep tbh.
― calzino, Tuesday, 26 February 2019 20:09 (seven years ago)
In terms of resources, Celtic are Championship level - the rest of them are nowhere near that, don't forget Aberdeen lost one of their star players to a non-league club.
― Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 20:11 (seven years ago)
because, and I say this with love for the country, literally no one outside Scotland cares?

winning two trebles on the trot, record of 10-2-1 against Rangers, being Irish (almost better that he's nationalist from the 6 counties), having coached at a high level in england etc. right up so many Celtic fan's alley.
of course now everyone is of the opinion that he's a phony twat with daft veneers who talks shite

xxpin an era when Rangers have much weaker than in previous years innit? I mean ffs it wasn't that long ago Josh fucking Windass was a regular starter. Anyway at least they've seen the light now!

Celtic didn't dominate as thoroughly as these last few years when Rangers weren't even in the premiership tho is the thing

― See me in mi heels an' tinge (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 21:03 (seven years ago)
ffs Mounie! thought that was our 2nd goal in 12 hours of football for a sec there!
― calzino, Tuesday, 26 February 2019 21:04 (seven years ago)
patricio made a class save in 1st half. We aren't half bad tonight. Still going down, but at least with a decent manager already installed.
― calzino, Tuesday, 26 February 2019 21:06 (seven years ago)
we look pretty flat from what i've seen of us so far. nicely poised eh?
― See me in mi heels an' tinge (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 26 February 2019 21:07 (seven years ago)
probs nicely poised for the late Wolves winner I reckon. But cometh the Mooy!

Brighton, Bournemouth, Palace and West Ham all in March. Hmmm maybe it's time to start dreaming about that paddling pool/jacuzzi made out of pallets in my back garden.
