george foreman is a belgian

The hell.

I don't care if ppl like/hate dogs. I laugh at ppl who think it's a sign whether someone is good/bad. My gran, uber asshole, loved dogs (more than humans) so it leaves me cold if someone loves dogs. There's no correlation.

nathom, Friday, 25 January 2019 09:19 (seven years ago)

despite being both a dog lover and (i think) a good person, I agree with the above. I too have known some absolute bastards who loved their friggin' dogs

Blondi, Rinka, been a day for recalling some of man's best friends.

I bought my last dog off this uber Kennel Club snob who lived in a huge farmhouse and was a massive twat. When she realised I wasn't posh as fuck she started giving me priceless advice like reminding me that dogs need walking daily, nutrition, breath oxygen and need the vets when they are poorly etc .. because lowlife like me keep 'em in cages and feed em' leftover chips of course.

calzino, Friday, 25 January 2019 14:44 (seven years ago)

You should have said “so that’ll improve the flavor then?”

rob, Friday, 25 January 2019 15:07 (seven years ago)

loving dogs is fine

people who love dogs and hate people are bad

xp lol, v good

ogmor, Friday, 25 January 2019 15:31 (seven years ago)

hah!

I'd forgotten how much hard work it is house training a puppy that has teeth like needles and is constantly teething and goes nuts a few times a day and rags everything in site. A couple of times I've said to him (after he's attacked my hand again): Just for that I won't feel guilty when it's time for the troublemakers to be removed.

calzino, Friday, 25 January 2019 15:43 (seven years ago)

:) "the troublemakers".

calzino, Friday, 25 January 2019 23:20 (seven years ago)

It is also believed that the dog went off track on a number of occasions, including the moment he played with a herd of cows. THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED..

lol!

||||||||, Friday, 25 January 2019 23:54 (seven years ago)

lately I've read more about brexit than anything Trump related

Kind of a once in a lifetime shitshow on both sides of the pond, I'm just burned out on this one

calumy (rip van wanko), Saturday, 26 January 2019 00:07 (seven years ago)

you'd seriously have to be trying to read more about brexit than Trump in lolmerica! But I'm so burned out on brexit i completely get your sentiment.

Film trailers. There's something odd about how people treat trailers as events that seems odd to me.

I make a point of walking into movies 15-20 mins late so I can miss them.

Your sweetie-pie-coo-coo I love ya (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 29 January 2019 02:51 (seven years ago)

I used to watch trailers obsessively as a kid, over and over, hundreds of times in some cases, and I realized how much it was affecting my experience of the movie itself, always anticlimactic. going in blind is the way to go imo, or as blind as possible.

flappy bird, Tuesday, 29 January 2019 04:05 (seven years ago)

You see posts on reddit, that are enormously popular, and it's 'second avengers trailer' etc. It's a strange kind of consumerism.

Leaghaidh am brón an t-anam bochd (dowd), Tuesday, 29 January 2019 09:46 (seven years ago)

Trailers > the movies they're selling, roughly 99% of the time. I like them because I'm never gonna see the movies in question anyway, so I might as well watch two minutes of bug-eyed facial expressions, explosions, and CGI punch-outs.

birthday fundraisers on Facebook

sleeve, Monday, 4 February 2019 16:49 (seven years ago)

I like them because they are another good motivator not to go on Facebook

mfktz (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Monday, 4 February 2019 16:52 (seven years ago)

What are they?

Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Monday, 4 February 2019 16:54 (seven years ago)

"This birthday, instead of you (a person I knew for a few weeks twenty years ago) buying me (an adult you never speak to) a present, please donate money to this fundraising appeal, it's a great cause, and you're going to feel pressured into donating to it because facebook keeps pushing it to the top of the page, so if you're on here and not donating that would look pretty bad, also there is an arbitrary target and the figure raised will be embarrassingly low until a day or so before the deadline when presumably close family members chip in to stop it failing"

mfktz (Camaraderie at Arms Length), Monday, 4 February 2019 16:59 (seven years ago)

i deactivated fb and i'm so happy about it

marcos, Monday, 4 February 2019 17:46 (seven years ago)

xp you forgot "oh and also your card was hacked, thanks"

sleeve, Monday, 4 February 2019 17:48 (seven years ago)

literally the only 2 things I hear from people about Facebook:
1) they're on it constantly
2) it sucks and they hate it
lol

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Monday, 4 February 2019 18:02 (seven years ago)

oh wait there's a 3rd:
3) you should join!

A True White Kid that can Jump (Granny Dainger), Monday, 4 February 2019 18:02 (seven years ago)

I can't leave because of work & it's the biggest promotional platform for anything I might be doing. There's been some local discussion about alternatives for show-listings, because pretty much all house/warehouse/DIY shows are promoted via FB.

flappy bird, Monday, 4 February 2019 18:05 (seven years ago)

its grand it keeps you up to speed on relatives or distant friends

nb Americans may be using it wrong

I'm on FB and I've never come across this birthday fundraising atrocity.

Wee boats wobble but they don't fall down (Tom D.), Monday, 4 February 2019 18:50 (seven years ago)

Birthdays are for children

brimstead, Monday, 4 February 2019 19:14 (seven years ago)

Wait no, what I mean, being an adult and expecting birthday gifts from your friends is really funny
