The Good Place on NBC

The ways they've chosen to completely reframe/reboot the plot over and over again somehow always works. Presumably introducing 4 completely new characters to recreate S1 is bold as hell.

They did such a great job casting as well.

Alison Jones also cast Freaks & Geeks, The Office: An American Workplace, The 40 Year Old Virgin, Superbad, Knocked Up, I Love You Man, Bridesmaids, Parks & Rec, Veep, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Arrested Development, Lady Bird and Eighth Grade.

Great show, good finale but I'm not looking forward to every nerd wedding speech from now till eternity including the phrase "Jeremy Bearimy, baby"

Me either. It does seem like a season that was getting ready for stuff to happen.

pacing of this season was all over the place but that was a really strong finale, they successfully made me care about a couple i don’t care about

Chidi's delivery of that was spectacular.

Every Derek/martini moment killed. Jason Mantzoukas is consistently hilarious in every show he's on. He should be on more shows.

the only reason i watched the league was the potential of mantzoukas popping up at any given moment

strangely i don't like his movie podcast -- there's another guy on it who always shouts over everyone. (also their movie tastes don't line up with my own, but whatever.)

I've stopped listening to Comedy Bang Bang except for episodes with Mantzoukas. I miss him on Brooklyn Nine-Nine too.

Paul Scheer! I find him and Rob Corddry indistinguishably annoying. Was disappointing to see him turn up on Good Place a couple of weeks ago. But then he disappeared again. Good.

If it can pull a Justified (subpar penultimate season followed by return-to-form-and-then-some) then good. Lots of incidental pleasures last season but was generally disappointing.

Series overview/behind the scenes/best of The Paley Centre Salutes the Good Place was quite fun.

Sorry to hear about end of the show, but it probably is good that they quit while they're ahead.

Is this the first episode that didn't include a topic from moral philosophy?

Why the hell did it say "to be continued" at the end? How was it different than any other episode (in terms of the level of cliffhanger)?
