I need to stop stalking/hate-reading spiderman's dad, but I used to knock about with one of his cousins + he was a 1st class bellend as well. But I'm not sure grumbling and seething at everything he says on twitter is good for my mental health. He seems quite an extreme iteration of all that is wretched about UK comedy/lolcelebrityism/toryism/self-referential smugness. He writes terrible books, performs terrible comedy and has turned his whole shtick into boasting about having a celeb brat for a kid. aaargh!!! need to get on with my life without even looking at this anymore!

Or part of an individual's larger set of responsibilities with the company. Kind of doubt it with some of these weird/ironic brand accounts, but you never know.

all the brands and blue checkmark people riffing joeks on that tweet is a good representation of how abysmal twitter culture is

i suspect a brand would have a devoted twitter person & pays them handsomely bc of the cost of PR fuck ups

there is no pattern. sometimes it's contracted out to a specialist agency. sometimes it's in-house. rarely are the people actually doing the tweeting paid well.

Yeah can't believe anyone would be paid well for tweeting for a brand (this odd mix of marketing and customer service), part of the reason I thought it was genuine.

More people still follow regular Arby's than Nihilist Arby's, but at some point this will invert.
