I was at the game and there was this weird feeling of resignation that set in halfway through the second half when chance after chance went begging.

Kane injury is a huge worry but the Sissoko one is almost as concerning given we basically don't have a central midfield any more.

United basically played Mouball for most of that, only difference is they actually did it well.

Boly's challenge to me is on a sliding scale from Van Dijk's challenge on Insigne in the Napoli game to Kompany's challenge in the Liverpool game.

Van Dijk was booked and some said he should've had a yellow, but he was hardly out of control in that he went down on one knee and in one slick movement, was back on his feet... but his follow through did happen to plough into Insigne's calf/shin.

Boly was a very pointed one leg out, one leg tucked tackle at a fair lick, got the ball cleanly and his foot just happen to line up with where Bernardo had planted his.

Kompany's was completely wild two feet up, two feet in the air lunge, gets a faint toe on the ball and plants Salah running through on goal in the shin with his studs.

There's a world which says they're all reds, and I don't think any of us want to live in that world. A much fairer summation would be that only Kompany deserved a red.
